I have blue cross Az, I called them to get the particulars. I ran in to one butt head that said it was listed in my plan booklet, he was in the approval department. The customer service people were great and gave me the information. 6 month diet for me. -

Congratulations! I dont know about you but I have discovered that I actualy give my self permision to over eat. My permision statement sounds like this "Its O.K. to eat that/all that i will start tomorrow" Even if i have no intentions on starting a diet! I am just begining the 6 month supervised diet so have a bit of time to go befor bandland. Good luck to you and keep us posted on your journey.:thumbup:

I have never Blogged before. I have been on several sites for my hobbies and interests, just never Blogged. Lets see, I decided to start this journey two weeks ago. I made an appointment and will be seen by Weight Loss Institute of Arizona. I am hopefull that my insurance will cover me, I have a BMI of 43.5. I am not sure if I have any Co-Morbidities but am sure that I do. I am 38, 310 pounds and have been heavy all of my adault life. I am so ready for a healthy change in my life. My wife is very supportive of me and has pledged to be by my side through this. One thing that may be different from many of you is that I will keep this journey between me and my immediate family, and the internet I guess:lol:. I will use this blog to document my journey so check back often, Wayno

Well I officially started my six month supervised diet yesterday. My PCP was very supportive of my decision to be banded. He told that his Father is also banded and that he is very thin. I had picked out a surgeon already but the more I read on hear about his office and prices the more I was not sure if this is the guy for me. So my Doc recommended a guy, his name is Jaurez and practices out of Tempe St. Lukes hospital. Here i go....... Wish me luck.
