moon goddess I started back up Monday. I found that I got tired really fast. I am not sure if it is from healing of if it is from the lower amount of calories. But yesterday was better and today was better yet so don't get discouraged if you feel wore out cause it will get better each day.

KSTAR Sorry about the infection. I actually go in tomorrow I have a bit of ozzing from one stitch to. I am sure if you take your antibiotic you'll be just fine.

I could sleep on my tummy about 6 days out.

so thats what that bruise is from. I forgot I got a shot the day of my surgery in my belly. But it didn't hurt. The place I got my surgery done at used a pain killer on everything. Even when they put the IV in, that was really nice. Everyone is doing so good. Getnhealthy------Girl its your week!! I'm so excited for you. I know you'll do well and I'll be praying for you.

If anyone could help me I sure would appreciate it. I recieved the results of my echo and they said my heart was functioning all within the normal ranges and that my valves all opened and closed correctly and there was no leakage but it was noted that one seemed stiff. It also said to follow up in a year or two. Then it said congratulations on your reassuring heart test. I'm confused I don't know what this means. If anyone has any insight please let me know.

losingjusme. Great job with the weight loss. I am so looking forward to mushies and solids. I was banded the 12th and still on liquids. My appetite is really coming back. Shellybeans I'm so glad walking is helping you. Good luck and good work. Momotrips hang in there I promise each day does get better. I finally go back to work Monday I'm a little nervous. Everyone thats banded wooohooo. and for all those getting banded I'm thinking about you.

My husband and I were banded on the 12th. Our surgeon required caths. We both got them in and taken out why we were under. No problems.

KatyLady sounds like your doing awesome.. Great job just go slow. I'm one week banded today lost 30 some pounds so far WOOHOOO!!! Dancing, My hubby and I were so hungry for something with spice so we made chili. Put it in the food processor and blended. We kept adding tomotoe juice till it was soupy and it tasted so good. I was told as long as it would be a consistency that would go through a straw it would be alright. Its amazing how only 1/2 cup of our new chili soup creation killed our cravings for something spicy. And with the ground beef and beans we got extra protein and fiber. Yay! Keep up the good work everyone.

you are the only one who can know. Once you made that decision you need to feel confident about it and not second guess yourself. Does he have support meetings? Can you meet with other people he's done the surgery on? That was helpful for me.

Is it just that you don't like the doctor or is he not competent. If its just a clash of personalities I would still have him do it for the greater good of your health. If you truely think he is incompetent then I wouldn't let him do it for nothing. Some doctors especially specialists just aren't personable, they seem all business. But if they are good at what they do all business is alright.

Cootie, I actually called my doctor today cause everything does go right through me he said it was normal and will get better I am 5 days out. Its so strange how I go from so hungry and eating 1/4 cup of soup and then so full. I am looking forward to adding a few things in another week. Congratulations on your surgery!

Aza I have the same post op diet but right now being 28 hours out it sounds fine to me. I am still kinda sore but mostly just that darn gas. Does anyone know if you can hurt anything by the way you move. Sometimes in bed I move a way that pulls and it sort of hurts. Also when you burped right after did it really hurt? Mine does. Also wondering is my port directly under all the stictches? I can't seem to tell being I'm so swollen.. Thanks for all the feedback. I'm glad we have this forum. Jodi

I am home. Hubby and I are doing good. Just 24 hours out and really d0ing well all that hurts is the gas and bloat.

Hi Everyone!! James and I are just 26 hours out of surgery and doing really well. We had our bands done at 10 and 11 am. We did our barium swallows at 4 and were able to leave by 5. Since we live 100 miles away we had a hotel a few miles from the surgery center. We rested well alnight. A little discomfort but overal not bad. Today we are home. Its good to be home. I actually felt hungry a while ago but amazingly about a 1/4 cup of broth filled me up.. Praise God!!!!! The gas pains are there but very toerable. We went shopping this morning for about a .ould recommend taking it easy the first day. I am so happy it is over. James and I will keep you all posted on our progress. Everyone who is getting banded. DOn't worry it is gonna be alright.. Jodi

Just got done drinking the stuff to clean me out. I'm getting super nervous. This time tomorrow I should be in bandland. I'll keep you all posted.

Kaylees Mom, My husband is having a hernia repaired at the same time as his banding. The doctor said it is fairly common. He said he usually fixes them as he encounters them. Feel better!!! Just three more days to go.

Well everyone I am just 5 days away from bandville. I am so nervous. Its really set in today and I am having all these fears. My husband who will also be banded the same day said he was feeling really good on the lo carb high protien diet and said "maybe we should wait and try a diet one more time". But after thinking we've tried that one more time thing about 20 or more times. All we have left to do is our echocardiagrams on Monday that is since we've both took phen fen years ago. All our blood work came back okay and so its a go for Thursday. Anyone else having it done that day if you are James and I will remember you in our prayers.

I decided not to tell my co workers I was going to be banded. I just asked for time off for a medical procedure and a few days to heal. Now the whole place is talking behind my back. A friend of mine said people are asking her if I am having Gastric Bypass. It pisses me off that they right away assume that. Don't fat people have other procedures. Arrghh. I decided if people must know I will tell them. I said I am having a vestectomy. That shut em up.

did all the preop stuff yesterday. Blood work, ekg, chest exray, and a echo on MOnday. Anyone else have to have an echocardiogram?? And my doctor isn't asking for a upper GI is that normal..
