I have my consultation tomarrow and I got a new camera so that I can take pictures and I think I will record my journey through scrapbooking and journaling. I hate seeing myself at this size too, but I think if I record my journey I can look back and see how much work I put into it and it will help me when maitenence time comes! -

why all the negetive responses on here? I thought this was suppose to be a place for encouragment. I'm not sure what advice to give because I am only going in for my consultation tomarrow, but I think a positive responce would be better than yelling at people and telling them they will feel stupid when they wake up with no band.... -

Hey there! Good luck with your surgery!! I am actually just going in for my first consultation on 10/13 so you are ahead of me. I'm not sure what to expect, but from everything that I've heard, you have nothing to worry about! I also have a four year old and I'm sort of nervous about not being able to lift her afterwards, but luckily I have a lot of people around to support me and help me out. I hope everything goes great for you!!! -
How do you deal with judgements?

The only people who know I am going to have the surgery are my parents (who are paying for it as a gift to me) and my fiance. I think they are the only people I will tell. I'm not ashamed at all, I just don't really feel like anyone else needs to know.
