I have  been overweight all my life. I've been thin before. I am a classic yo-yo dieter. The year before I entered high school I lost a lot of weight and was down to 120lbs. By the end of high school I was up to 215lbs. At the age of 21 I lost a bunch of weight again. I got down to 140lbs. At 24 I got pregnant with my daughter. After she was born I weighed 200lbs, since then I have gained 70lbs and I now weigh 270lbs. I am sick and tired of my back, knees, and feet hurting all the time. I can't wait until the day I can do more with my daughter. I feel like my weight is holding me back from doing things with my daughter. We went to the county fair a couple months ago and she wanted to go on the ferris wheel with me, but I had to have her dad go with her because I know the bar wouldn't be able to close over my stomach. I was heart broken. Also, heart disease and diabetes run in my family and I know if I do not lose this weight that will be my future. Since giving birth I have tried so many diets. I've tried Nutrisystem, the 6 small meals a day diet, and the Atkins diet. I cannot lose this weight on my own, I'm tired of dieting and losing 20lbs. just to turn around and gain 30 back. I'm going in for my consultation for Lapband surgery on Oct. 13 and hopefully I will be approved for the surgery and be able to get it done sometime in Nov. I don't have to worry about insurance because my parents are paying for the surgery as a gift to me because they know how much this means to me and they are as worried about my health as I am. I came to this sight for inspiration. So, hopefully I will meet some friends, get some inspiration, and just maybe be an ispiration for others after I have my surgery!
