It was, I made 122 dozen perogies this christmas ! I will be thinking of you too, Someone who will be experiencing my excitement at the same time. Have you visited the clinic ? What's it like ? My first time will be my surgery date. It will be nice to swap stories since our recovery time will be so close

Heather I was wondering, now that you are used to the band, can you still only eat certain things, or have you become so accustomed to it that that extra chewing have become second nature, and you really don't have to focus on it any more ? I am being banded on Feb 2 and will fly to Egypt for 3 1/2 weeks on Feb 24. The doctor seems to thank I will not have any any problens, but I will still be on mushy for 6 more days. When you move on to solid food any advice. I plan on bring a few things with me just incase. :rolleyes

Heather, seeing that you were just banded Jan 7th, how are you feeling now ? It has been two weeks, are there things that you are still not able to do ? Forgive me as I get a little nutty !

Me too, I think I will ask my Doctor for a liquid pain med befor I go to Toronto. Just in case.

Well I can have jello, Jello I will have. I don't think I have had the slimmy stuff since I was 5 ! Yogurt I can handle but cottage cheese No way ! It is going to be a long 10 days !

Hey guys I start tomorrow the yogurt and cottage cheese,except I don't eat cottage cheese, so that is a whole lot of yogurt! I just got a cold so I hope it will help me stay on this 10 days of hell ! My surgery is Feb 2

I have a prescription for adivant for the long plane ride to Egypt, never thought about the surgery. Thanks ! Liquid Tylenol # 3 is that by perscription ? I have my pre op apt this week, I will ask my Dr. Thanks so much I want to make usre I am prepared !

Yes ,Carmen my man. I think he may come around. He is one of those people who believe no surgery unless it is really necessary. We had a long talk last night and I think he now realises my reasons for the surgery and I an not looking to be a super model ! LOL Men Eh ! Thanks for the list of things to bring.I want to be prepared I leave on the border to the states. Should I take the 3 hour trip for liquid tylenol ( Iwould go to target, Victoria's Secrets and Bath and Body Works TOO ) or in your opinion is the children's fine ? Thanks for all your help everyone :clap2:

If I am able to lose the weight and feel it is necessary, then I may have a tummy tuck. Who knows, I do know it is a pretty big incision !

What things are a good idea to have on hand the day of surgery ? Where do you get liquid Tylenol , was not available at walmart in Thunder bay.

I was planning on staying down town at a near by hotel, so I would just grab a cab. Carmen is still feaking out over the whole thing, so who knows what will happen.He believes it is too close to my trip to Egypt and I don't need the surgery. I discussed it with TLBC and they feel it would be ok for me to travel. My surgery is Feb 2 and I leave for Egypt on Feb 26.
