in June od 2008 I've started the process of getting approved by my insurance to have bariatric surgery. It has been a long process to gather all the requirements, but also it seems that the surgeon that it was recomended to me, his office, is very slow in following with the insurance. When I try to contact the surgery coodinator it always takes almost a week for her to respond.I been so frustated that I started submitting my own documentation to the insurance, as well as making my own follow up calls. Can someone tell me if anyone has experienced this issue?A different doctor was been recomended to me. I called his office today, and I have an appointment with him tomorrow. My question is that..... if you already submitted documentation to have surgery with a doctor, will the insurance be okay if I change my mind to use that doctor, and instead go with a different one.As I stated before, I feel that the current doctor's office is not giving me the appropiate attention. Can someoe tell me if they have experienced this before?
