I'm insured through Americhoice of United (Medicaid) and would like some input on the requirements for surgery. At 4'10 and 190 lbs, I qualify for surgery but have non-threatening co-morbidities. Is the six-month weight loss program mandated? How long is approval? Yadda yadda yadda :-):thumbup:

First Post:thumbup: I'm starting the process of getting pre-approval and my current PCP believes on a more holistic approach to weight loss. Are there any other recommended PCP's in the NYC area?
