Thank you all again.

After months of deliberation, the decision is in, yesterday they denied me, today they have approved me. See what prayer does. How can it be denied yesterday, and then approved today. The only answer can be the work of my almighty God. He is great, wonderful, and all that I wish I could be. Thank you again God. It is all your doing. How excited am I, just waiting on a surgery date. :amen:

Just wanted to thank everyone for their prayers. I was told today by me doctors office that I was denied, because of lack of a 6 month supervised program. That was at around 10:00 AM. I went out for the day and came home aroung 3:00PM to my son running outside with the phone. I answered it but there was just music playing, I was on hold, but didn't know who was on the other line. So I waited. "Suzanne", the other person on the line said. "It's Alex and I have some really amazing news". Alex is from my doctors office. He went on to tell me he didn't know what happened, but he received a call back from my insurance company and they said that they were approving me after all. That she just wanted to get the file off her desk and that I was going to end up in the long run getting the surgery anyway after my 6 months was up. He said he's never had that happen, usually insurance co. really fight till near death to not approve until every criteria is met and then some. I told him I knew what happened. PRAYER!!! That is why I want to tank anyone who prayed for me. I just gav it up to the Lord this morning after finding out that I was denied. I prayed that if it was his will, I would be patient and do whatever God felt was in the works for me. If this isn't the greatest testimony for all the people dealing with insurances, I don't know what is. Thank you again fellow LBT-Prayers' and that you also to the Almighty God! Can I officially say know that I am starting my LBT Journey. I know it won't compair to my spritual journey. But, with God in my life, this new journey will be awsome. Thank you again. THE POWER OF PRAYER IS A WONDERFUL THING!:grouphug::thanks::grouphug:

Hello again, just wanted everyone to know that I say a little prayer for all my LapBand Family almost every day. Have told other people about this thread and that there is need for prayer. My paperwork was submitted into the insurance yesterday, 9/18 and you all know how insurance can be, so my request is for prayer in this matter. I am praying that all goes well, and I get approved on the first attempt. I also need prayer in general for my family, give them strength to stand by me during my weight loss journey. Also I ask for prayer for the doctors and medical team that will be performing this surgery. Give them the knowledge and patience that will be needed for surgery. I will say a prayer for all. Thank you again. Love this thread. God Bless!:phanvan

It's great to hear that your in good spirits about your surgery Leila. I had to have an ovary remove last year dou to a tumor also, sucks only having one ovary. Hormons are crazy sometimes, never felt like this before it was removed. I guess it is because I have half the hormons or something like that. Thank you also Paladin for the welcome. I can't wait till my banding, waiting to hear from insurance.

Had a very busy day today. Met with Natalie, the Nutritionist. She was great. Very easy to talk to and she explained everything. After that me and Garrett grabbed a salad and water and then of to the info meeting. That was very informative also. Seems like I had been there already, with meeting the surgeon already and knowing so much about the procedure. Will call tomarrow to make sure they have all my paperwork in order to send to the insurance co.

Anyone else for the bonus plate of band + hiatal hernia?
sueol replied to KelliW's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I too have just been diagnosed with a small sliding hiatal hernia. I don't know much about it and I hope my surgeon Dr. Robinson of Boston will still consider me a good candidate for the surgery. Guess it is more common than I thought. -
Great Thread. Thank God for it. Just wanted to let everyone know that I will pray for my LapBand Family also. I am not Banded yet, but hopefull, with God's will, soon will be. I also am looking for God's direction in this matter. I have struggled with weight most of my life and enough is enough. It's time to take my life back, so I can fully focus on my walk with the lord. Then I can focus on myself, my family and friends. Please also keep me in your prayers. I am just at the begining of my journey. Prayer is a powerful thing and he does bless my life everyday. Please keep believing, even when time are tough. Been there done that. Every challenge he throws my way-I just climb stronger. Isn't that what he wants, you to be a stronger and healthier person, so you can focus on him. I will say a prayer for you all, keep me in yours. God Bless! Suzanne:grouphug:

September 11, wow I can't believe it is 5 years since the broken grounds. What a sad day. Been thinking alot about the losses of that day and also their families. What they must be going thru when they see it relived on TV. We all need to pray for them. Well, family is great, as usual. Can't wait until tomarrow 9/12. We go to Boston for my meetings with the Nutritionist and Info Meeting. Back again on the 25th to soo Dr. Robinson. I hope everything goes ok and that he doesn't mind about the sliding hiatal hernia. Well gotta go.

Can't wait until Tuesday. I got an appointment with the Nutritionist at 4:00 PM and then I go to the LapBand Info Meeting at 6:00-8:00. Can't wait. Then all they will have to do is get the letter and fax info to my insurance. God I hope that the insurance doesn't deny my claim. I hope it goes thru without any delays and is approved.
