I saw your pics online and I just wanted to wish you well on this journey. I too amd a diabetic which was my reason for the banding. Since the day of my surgery, I have been OFF of the insulin and as time went on I was taken off of my blood pressure meds, cholesterol meds, nexium and my pain meds lessened....it's all so worth it. Just hang in there and be positive. You can do this!

I want to get rid of my by diabetes, become healthy, get rid of this access weight and keep it off for the rest of my life. I have a wonderful husband, 4 magnificant grown children, and 8 adorable grandchildren.

Trying to decide between lapban and GYN??

Hello, I'm a 59 year old lady and I'm trying to decide on having the lapband or the Gastric Bypass. I weigh 236 and I'm 5'4". I'm a type II diabetic on oral medication and take one blood pressure medication. Please advise!!!!! I live in Raleigh, NC.:smile2:
