Hello, my name is Lucy. Thank you for the re-assurance. When I started my journey, I thought I would have to wait six months before having the surgery. They called me last week and told me I was approved and could schedule for any time. I was expecting to have the surgery in February. My op date is November 17th. I can't wait. But still nervous!!!

hi there, my name is alex, and I had the surgery 3 months ago. I saw your post about being nervous about the surgery, and let me tell you. You really don't have much to worry about. The procedure itself is very safe, and the odds of complications are very small, while you have a 100% chance of serious health issues if you don't lose the weight.

After many years (25) of yo-yo dieting I've reached my limit. Over the last 4 years I have encountered numerous medical issues due to my weight and I don't know what scares me more..going through with the surgery, or the potential for heart disease, diabetes, etc... I feel like this is my last shot and I'm afraid of failure. But at the same time I'm excited...does that make any sense???
