Will you Dr's still operate if you haven't lost any weight?

Eva--You made me think of something that I had never thought of before. That is, I matured at a very young age(started my period at the ripe old age of 9) and I think I tried to cover this with my weight. I developed so young that I didn't have time to be a little girl for the length of time I should have. Anyways, the fat would hide the upper part of me that was different from the other little girls. Thanks for sharing this, it opened my eyes to something new. I am scared that I won't have anything to worry about. I will have to find something else to worry about. Also, my self esteem issues are all circled around being fat, or at least I believe they are...Dear God, what if they are not!?

Started liquid diet today. They said they wanted me to lose 15-20 before surgery and I have been enjoying food this past month. Now, I have to make up for lost time. So, I am shooting for 8-10 within two weeks and the other 8-10 the next two weeks. Let's see if the banner worked for me.....!

This will help my fragile self esteem and heart. I think it's almost like in AA they tell people not to get into a relationship for 6 months after they have started their treatment. Hey Daddy! Welcome to the August bunch! OK--My nutrition appt. has been pushed back to July 25th in combo with the preop appt. The lady said be sure you are drinking your Protein drinks so that the weight is coming off. OMG, I was going to start that next week but I guess I'd better go ahead! I need to have 15-20 gone before Aug. 7th and they are going to be checking in on me on the 25th. Anyone else supposed to already be doing the Protein shake thing already?

This is bummed.........just wanted to tell you guys that I switched my name to something more uplifting! Originally I signed up with bummed a year ago and it reminds me of my dark and depressing life when my boyfriend broke it off. So, I decided to change!! PigsRFlying.......is the new me! It has a double meaning! 1) People always refer to the hard and out of reach by saying "when pigs fly" so I decided to turn that into a positive by stating "pigs r flying." The weight will go away! 2) Also,the pig in me is flying away! Bye Bye Piggie! lol Anyhow, just wanted to let you guys know!

Yes, I believe so! Liquid liquid.....yummy! lol Anyhow, there is another site with a few more DFW peeps, I was thinking that we could have a monthly meeting together after we are all banded! We'll see I know we all have to get throught the "bander's hell" first! However, I thought it might help us! Are you nervous at all? I am but more excited.

I love the cruise thing that you guys just did! What a great idea. After reading that there were mostly families.......how about a cruise next year BUT a SINGLES CRUISE!!! They port out of Florida mostly, unless, they have changed that. That way we can all mingle with our new selves!! Ashley

August 7th! I am excited to get this weight off for good. All of my life I have been up and down. I am in Dallas, Tx. and getting banded with James Davidson. What all have you guys started to do? I go in for the nutrition meeting on Monday, July 9th. Ashley
