Good Luck Joy! I too am getting banded this month, either on the 6th or 13th, depending who can watch my son. Am excited! Im getting the Realize band.:sad:

Scratch that first post of when i thought i was to get it, things didn't work out first time, had other health issues or so they say. Anywho, getting realize band Nov 6th or 13th, depending on who can watch my son. Am hoping he can stay with a friend so can get it done on the 6th. Am super ready for round 2, cuz there ain't gonna be any round 3! :sad:

Sorry to hear of your loss Apple, Sincere Condolences. I might be getting my Realize Band next Friday...Need to find someone to watch my son. Would be perfect, becuz he doesn't have school. 17" of snow in 2 days. Son home from school is getting crabby., Im getting cabin fever, missed walk for 2 days, ugh! Spose to be better tomorrow, lets hope for no more snow! As for me, user name coconutlatte, I used to be a manager for a family run health food/coffee shop in Montana. Moved from MT to CO last August. Have lung disease, no it is not from smoking,have never smoked a day in my life, just one of the lucky ones in the family to have all the health problems!! I'm a single, divorced mom, w/an 8 yr old son. I have family in Thornton, but they pretty much do there own thing & we do ours. I'm wanting to make friends, buddies, in person as well as cyber friends. I fiddle around with electronics, computers, cell fones..internet, ebay, lotsa walking. Can't work because of the lung disease. Use 02, 24/7, hoping after my surgery, that will not be necessary 24/7. Oh and coconutlatte flavor was & still is my favorite latte!!:thumbdown:

Not sure where to put this, but am little upset so figured here wud be good spot. I was to get lapband on Sept 29th but had to be postponed. Dr said he wud do it anytime after I got the ok from my other Dr. Well, he's got the ok if he wud just answer us. No one can get ahold of him, nor anyone in his office. My other dr pages him, calls emails, nothing. I email & have called, nothing either. I don't want to be a pest, but want this done before I go on a trip in couple months. Any suggestions? TIA

Hi, Wuda answered sooner, but got lost in all the forums! Snyder is my Dr too. Looks like ur prepared for big storm. I really hope they're wrong. I have too much to do, driving in lotsa snow is not my idea of fun., esp with a small car. Where about do u live? Im in Henderson.:cursing:

Hi, Im new here. Not yet banded, hopefully will be on Nov 13th. Im in Colorado. Wud like some buddies, don't know many ppl here in CO. Moved here a year ago.

HI Dawn, I was hit hard i think, she asked me a lot of personal ?'s. Mostly about my ex, which I didn't think were any of her business. Which I told her, was not the reason I was there to talk about him.She got angry when I said this. Thought it was to be about me and my weight problems. She is the one who makes the final decision if and when your ready for surgery. Hopefully others & you will have had better experience than I did. Good Luck!

Tuesday went in to get my lapband done, got all prepped, poked. Dr came in and said my white blood count was too high. (17,000) and he didn't want to do it since it ws that high. He just talked to my lung dr. (i have interstitial pnuemonitis-chronic rare lung disease & no its not from smoking, never smoked a day in my life.) Now this doesnt make sense to me, bcuz the Wednesay before, everything was fine. Not sure how it could go up that high, that fast. Meds weren't change, and hadnt been eating, was on the pre-op liquid diet. So gota go in for bunch of test tomorrow w/lung dr, then get things were they should be and redo it all over again.

My Lapband for the past Tuesday got postponed cuz of too high white blood cells. Will be having the surgery sometime this month, I hope!

Forgot to add on 1st post: On Clear liquids today, and nothing to eat after midnite tonite..my surgery isn't until 5:30 pm Tuesday. Ugh! Im going to be starved by then..any suggestions? Thnx

Hi I have fibromyalgia. I take Naproxen, 500 mg as needed.,but makes me sleepy. Had Celebrex but didn't notice any differnce & its very costly. or Aleve works just as well.
