44 is soooo young!! However, I am a firm believer that when it is your time regardless of where you are and what you doing you are done. We all have events on the calendar, two of which are unavoidable: birth and death. May he rest in peace and his family find comfort!! How may of us can say we live daily doing what we love and know that we could die at any time hopefully doing what we LOVE!!

did you make it to the ticker factory? When you get there and youve made the ticker cut and paste it onto your signature line.. I used the top code bb something then preview the signature then accept if it looks like you want.. let me know if you need help.

more likely hematoma since seromas are more common with major tissue destruction like mastectomy where the lymph drainage system is removed also. I would think its hematoma instead. Either way they do no treat them unless they are large and painful.

to my knowlege not alot you can do since it is in response to inflammation and fluid from the injured and dying cells. I wound't think heat would hurt it tho. As for the bars click on someone's and it will take you to the ticker page then follow the prompts!

Welcome!! Stay out of the complications section as it is a nerve wrecking emotional ride for the prebander. The support section and the general questions and information has put my mind to ease. Even the chat room has been a great help!! This board is a godsend!! Everyone is VERY helpful and informative!! You have come to a great support. THere are even local face to face supports. Check by state in the lower half of the posting section. Anything you want to know use the tool bar search option you can always "bump" (post on it) a thread to bring it current to get more information. PM me if you need help or have other questions!! -
I love it preband- Im hoping I wont have to experience the need post band but since I still am the same person Im sure I will test it at somepoint!

ins It all about CARVE OUTS. An insurance company may offer it to a company and the company chooses a cheaper plan based on what is "carved out". just because an insurance company covers it in some doesnt mean they do for all. Its all up to what the employer is paying for and saving money on. Everyone curses the insurance company- its not their problem. Its what the company chooses to cover or not! Think of it as a turkey. The turkey cost is $20 per person if you carve off the breasts(WLS, PS, other $$$ procedures) then the cost comes down to $8 perperson that is more affordable for the company and the majority of the employees. THAT is how insurance for companies and employees is dealth with. Hope that helps- its not personal its business. The people are not factored in except for how many in numbers need health insurance. sooo if you want it covered you have to go to the personel/human resources and that will be a fight of fights as you will find. If they make an exception for you they have to do it for everyone. Silence is never kept and they end up losing $$$$. Good Luck!

What's the best way to get fiber?
gonnabethin replied to sleepyjean's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Urology biofeedback clinic uses a natural mixture over any of the "medications": Stool Solvers Recipe from Tammy Wilson 1 cup Apple Sauce 1 cup coarse unprocessed oat or wheat bran 3/4 cup juice ( apple, cranberry, grape or prune) mixture will be pasty. keep covered in refrig and will last 2 weeks take 2 tbsp follow with 8 oz Water in am for evening bm or pm for am bm. Max 4 tbsp per day. Since Im preband I dont know if this is allowable Im taking it with me tomorrow at my last pre-op to ask. This is at least easy to mix, doesnt taste bad and cheaper than benefiber. So ask you surgeon if its ok prior to use. -
the avg wait is 2-3 months getting all the preliminary stuff done. Its harder to try to get approval with BMI35 and co-morbidities. I had to gain to meet the 40BMI. Not something I wanted to do but 16k was not a great option either!!

If I have to give up red meat I will be in mourning. Filet is the most tender cut- it wont take much - so the price wont be a deterant. I grew up on beef as my GF was a cattle rancher! I guess with change comes adjustment!

We have had only large dogs and they have ranged from 12-16years. We have had 2 labs and a dalmation, now have 1 lab 7yrs and 2 pointers 3 & 1yr old. My MIL/FIL had only had small dogs and they have had similar life ranges. The mixed breeds in our experience have had healthier and better life ranges. With the purebreeds come some genetic breeding problems- like addisons, hip problems, seizures- yeah unfortunately we have dealt with all of those!! Hope that helps. Its the best move besides lap band that you will make. Rescue is the way to go !! Bettina is right they do seem grateful!!

Your one of the lucky ones!! LOTS dont have that. The criteria is NOT just Cigna HMO. Most insurance companies follow the same criteria. It is this process and the waiting that drive many to Mexico self pay!! Good Luck!! I am also lucky- after meeting and doing ALL the criteria listed I was finally approved.
