Have spent most of my life fighting my weight.  Trying almost every diet on the market and spending lots of money to achieve some kind of permanent weight loss to no avail.  Last year was diag. with Rheumatoid Arth. and put on large doses of prednisone and gained 65 lbs to add to my already overweight body.  Needless to say, it looked hopeless to lose it, so thought about lap-band for about a year and now am one week post op.  I'm excited to see my progress and see other fellow patients stories.
