Hi I had the Lap Band procedure several years ago. During the suegery the Dr discovered a hernia which he repaired. Of course I went home that day and followed the diet which of course was liquid. I started throwing up and I knew this was a no no. I became so weak I went to my family dr. He called the dr. who did my surgery right then and there. He told me to come in at this point I was very dehydrated and weak, the doc didn't really seem to care gave me a bag of liquids and sent me home I really didn't get much better went back to the dr who prefomed my surgery and they took all the fluid out of my band. But all along I thought it was the hernia repair that was the problem he dismissed that. I never went back for a fill because I had a hard enough time still to this day I throw up not every day but more often than I think I should. I was told the band should have never have been preformed since I had the hernia can someone shed some light? Thanks Robin
