After September 11, 2001 I quickly joined the Army to protect my country. At that time I was 5'6" 165lbs. I wanted to make a career out of the military. Well god had another plan for me. I was injured and the army sent me home. My dreams were crushed and I was just at a loss of what to do now. So I met my wife. She is by far one of the best cooks on this earth. Nothing like a good hispanic women that can cook. But then I found a even better cook. HER MOTHER! Well after a year of that I was at 220lbs then it just kept coming. When I looked up I was almost at 300lbs and was having trouble breathing, chest pains, feet pains everything. One morning I woke up and just said "the heck with this" , "im done with this" and I began to look up the lap-band. I researched it for about 4 months and it just seemed right for me. This is a great tool to help me loose the weight and keep it off. So here I am today Banded on sept. 14,2009 happy as can be. Now my new life begins, my kids will have their dad to run with them soon enough!
