Accountability thread for October Bandsters!
mom2girls replied to kcg's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well I need to jump back on the wagon. I lot 87lbs just to slowly gain 20 back over the last 2 years I can only blame myself anf the fact I have learned how to cheat really well. I am committed to get back to business! I want to be down the 20lbs by my October baniversary! -
I have been banded for 18 months and I am so close to goal but the holidays came and I just stopped watching what i ate and started eating until it is uncomfortable. I know what foods I can cheat with and boy have I cheated. I have only gained 2 pounds back but I need to see the light again and get back on track. I can not find the motivation I once had when I started this journey. Thanks for listening!

Nothing to do with Band, but need INPUT desparately
mom2girls posted a topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
My mothers dog bit my daughter in the face and I am fighting with my husband and my mom because my mom will not get rid of the dog. My mom watches my girls twice a week at night while I go to school and up until now it was at her house where the dog is located. My husband refuses to let the girls go to my moms house now and request she come to our house to see girls and watch them. my questions are these: Should my mom get rid of the dog? Is she choosing the dog over her granddaughter? If she locks the dog up is that a realistic option? (my husband thinks she will eventually stop locking dog after this all dies down) Please help I need all the answer to help fight this battle. -
I need some ideas for mushie stage, I just started today and so need some examples besides mashed potatos

I agree with you and that is why it is hard because my husband is stubborn and believes that she has may the choice that the dog is way more important, mainly because his mom told him hands down no questions the dog would be gone. -

the dog was a puppy when my mom got her, she is now 6 years old. She does show aggresive behavior towards other animals that are even larger than her always trying to attack them. She has been around my 9 year old daughter and my 3 year (she was the one bit). I have never tried to take her food but she has attacked my moms cat for going near her food bowl. The dog has had no training. -

Just a little more info for those who may not know how to answer and those who have. We were on a camping trip the 2nd day into trip the dog was chained in tent and my daughter was in my lap in the tent on the phone and the dog attacked her, we are not sure if the fan got the dog, or if she was irritated by the heat or what. I completley understand if she was taunting the dog then she would be partly at fault. Another reason my mom will not let go is the dog is the dog she and my dad got 6 months before he passed away suddenly and I think that is the reason she refuses to let go. -

I love floro also, I may even skip my next fill in two months because I like where I am at. Good luck to you all as well the last few pounds seem to be the hardest to lose! -
I had another fill and well I now know what restiction is and I learned the hard way. Oh man my tummy hurts, well I really have to watch the amount of food and the types of food. And the morning is the worst. So let's hope these last 13 lbs fall off :-)

hanging belly going away with dropping lbs????
mom2girls replied to feelfat's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 32 had my first child at 23 and my second at 29, I am currently 13 lbs to 136lbs and I started at 223lbs and I still have a little hanging belly, not to be discouraging but there is a little there; it is not big or gross just enough pudge to make me wish it were gone but everyone is different. The positive is that is the only place I have it and it can be easily hidden -
I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this or am I just crazy and need a fill. We are suppose to get 64oz or more of water a day and we have that 30min to hour before meal and 1 hour after meal where no drinking is allowed in order to help with the hunger between meals. My issues is if I wait longer than an hour I stay full longer? Does this happen to any of you? It is so hard to get the water in if i wait too long between meals but I have longer periods in between if I hold off longer to drink anything.

How do I break through a plateau?
mom2girls replied to caricap's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree protein and water. I notice the weight comes off easier that way, and sometimes I will do s three day liquid protein diet to shock my body and it works for me i usually drop two pounds easy that way. good luck, you have done awesome so far! -

mom2girls replied to LeighaMason's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So I did not hit goal but 7lbs I am soooooo okay with that, it only leaves me 14lbs to reach my goal of 136lbs -
I want one but was not sure it was worth it, thanks for the info
-
So the last month I have lost and gained the same 2lbs. I can not seem to get re focused. I am eating good choices but over indulging, I have let the boredom and mind hunger take over again and I can not seem to shake it. I am so close to goal it kills me. I have an appt with my doc on the 22nd so hopefully a little more fill and my enthusiasm with resurface.
