After surgery, it took me about 4 weeks to be able to sleep on my stomach again. The incisions, swelling, etc. were too much to sleep that way at first. I can not feel my port at all so it does not hinder any movement or sleep pattern. Good luck.

How is everyone? I am now 3 1/2 weeks post op. I have lost about 14 lbs. since my surgery date. I have found that the most difficult part for me is meal planning and feeding my family at the same time. ((I guess it is not good to expect a five year old and a husband to go on liquids with you...LOL)) I don't really "crave" the food I cook for them. It is more about texture for me. I crave texture. I am still on the 'soft' food stage (eggs, oatmeal, overcooked veggies, etc.) but really would like to dive into a bag of anything crunchy.

How are you doing now? I was banded on 9/22 and noticed that we have identical stats as to prediet and post diet results. I am now down 8 lbs. since surgery. The first 6 days were horrible and I had a small panic attack on teh 6th day thinking I had truly done the wrong thing. Now 12 days out, I am back to 'normal' and feeling great. I just wanted to check and see how you are as well.

My Dr. never said clear liquids. He said 14 days of full liquids, then 7 days of mushy food. It depends, dr. to dr.

Walk, walk and walk some more. You might think you can't due to the soreness, but walk anyway. The more you walk, the more gas is expelled. On day 4, I thought...OMG...what have I done to myself? What have I gotten into? I had a mini panic attack and just started walking. At the 3 mile mark, I felt sooooo much better.

I, too, like the Unjury unflavored and also the vanilla flavored. To me, the strawberry flavored had a weird smell and it did not taste that great either.

Hi! I will be having my surgery on September 24th. I will be so glad to get this done. The hoop jumping for the insurance companies is a little much. I am ready.
