Difference between Dilated pouch and just needing a fill
Stagger Lee replied to AngieM's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I've seen several persons on here say they think they've got a dilated pouch lately. Maybe its due to all that holiday eating we did! I also think mine is dilated. In the last three to five days, I have noticed that my restriction all of a sudden reduced substantially, and I am able to eat a lot more. Other than that, I don't have any symptoms such as pbing, reflux, pain, etc. I feel great; and I still can't eat nearly as much as I did pre-surgery, but its noticable to me just the same. I have a follow-up appointment with my surgeon in a little over two weeks, at which time I'll discuss it. In the meantime, I guess I'll try three days or so with liquids, then the same with soft food, all the while cutting back on portions and see how that works. I haven't lost any weight since between Thanksgiving and Christmas, so I guess I should have seen this coming. :phanvan -
I'm guessing that when the table refers to fluid, it means fluid in the band???

August 2006 - Running totals and updates
Stagger Lee replied to faybie's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I was banded on August 16 and have lost a total of 32.5 lbs. I had my first fill on Oct. 2 (4.5 cc in a 10 cc band). I have stalled out, having lost only about 6.5 lbs since that fill. I'm going in for a checkup/fill tomorrow, so hopefully things will pick up! -
I'm in the yellow zone too, unfortunately. I had my first fill six weeks ago (4.5 cc in a 10 cc band). I haven't lost any weight in about three to four weeks. I'm going in for my next fill tomorrow. Hopefully, things will get better.

I was banded on August 16. I have lost 28.5 lbs to date, all of which I attribute to the post-surgery diet (2 wks clear liquid, 2 wks liquid, and 2 wks soft solids). I feel no restriction at all, and can eat anything, but will have my first fill on Monday. I have been walking 35 to 40 minutes (2.0 miles) almost every night, which has also helped. I feel great, I just want to feel full!

I have been lurking here awhile, but decided to join and make use of the board's tremendous resources today. I got banded yesterday, and just got discharged from the hospital today.:clap2:
