Went in for my second fill today. She only put in 0.5cc. I was hoping for more but she told me to come back in 2 weeks if I didn't feel much restriction. I wonder now if I was wrong to want more. I have never felt nausea with the band until today (lucky me). I was drinking some apple juice and I guess I was drinking too much and I got really neaseated. It is amazing at how much of a difference just 0.5cc makes. My Dr. requires one day clear liquids one day thickened liquid and two days mushies after a fill. I guess every Dr. is different. I am glad that everyone is seeming to get back on track. The Junebies are kicking tail on the weightloss front! YEAH US!!!!! Great job everyone!!

hello all! My name is Genn and I am a newly joined Junebie! I am glad to see others who were banded the same time as I was. It will help me gauge my progress. I am having the hardest time getting over the drinking hump. I was a BIG liquid with dinner kinda girl pre-band. Now it is hard for me to get over it. Anyone have any suggestions for me? Yes you may ask! I was banded on June 9, 2006. I started out at 299 pounds and I am down to 278. I have also lost 27 & 1/2 inches off my body. I go for my second fill this Thursday. I am so excited to continue my journey. But I know I can do it ! -- Genn

YES!!!!! This has happened to me! I had a bout of stomach flu and I was SO nauseated, but when I started to vomit I would just dry heave and all I could get up was air. I thought it was just me. I am glad I am not alone, the flu eventually passed but I was wondering about that too. This probably wasn't very helpful but at least you aren't the only one. --Genn

Hello, my name is Gennifer, I am 26 years old and almost 3 months post op from my lap band surgery. I have lost 21 pounds so far with only one 1cc fill. My next fill is the 24th of August. I live in a very small town in Missouri and nobody that I know of has had this surgery in my town. I use these online forums as my support group. Hey Fran, Gennifer from Higginsville, MO here! I was banded by Dr. Selim at the weight loss surgical center in Overland Park, KS. He is very nice and he does a good job. I have not had any problems so far (knock wood)! I did have to have a port revision because it had flipped over. But that is just something that happens sometimes, not really a reflection on the surgeon. He was good to me and I would recommend him to anyone. Go for it! and Good luck!!! --Genn
