I've been trying to get lap band surgery for over a year now. When I first went to the seminar to learn more about lap band my job wasn't very sable so I felt I should wait. I'm glad I did because a month later I found another job. Then I had to wait until I'd been on the company insurance and at the company working for a while before trying to have surgery. In the meantime I went back to another seminar just to refresh my memory. That's when I found out that my new insurance would cover the surgery. I make my appointment to get started and was told that the kind of insurance that I have requires me to go through a 6 month weight lost program with my general doctor. I'm now 1 month from getting full approval from insurance. I've gone in for blood work and I've talked with the surgeon. I have another test, the one that you have to drink nasty medicine so that your throat can me xrayed, barom(spell) swallow. Hopefully after the last test I will be getting every else together, at least I hope so.
