Got a question. I know that the pouch is supposed to hold around 1/2 of food or like 4ozs or so. There seems to be some times that I am able to eat more like a cup or so before getting full. Is this normal? Or should I be eating a 1/2 cup no matter what. I don't want to stretch my pouch out. I am losing weight but just a little at a time. My job does not allow me to always eat snacks during the day. Would appreciate any help.

I just got my second fill Monday. Now I feel that I can't eat as much and feeling fuller longer. However, when mealtime comes around I am still feeling like I am full, and not really desiring to eat, but my stomach is growling. Does anyone else have this? What do you do, do you go ahead and eat cause you should, wait until you feel more hungry? What? The couple of times I have eaten, its like I've eaten too much, but I don't want to wait and eat late at night.

It went well. I did talk him into 1.5cc. Just got my second fill and got 1 cc this time. I will have to pay for that one. I did fine with the 1.5, no restriction basically. A few things stuck, but not many. This fill have really felt the amount of food is decreasing. Good luck.

Week 3 55 miles

The preop liquid diet really does help with the fatty liver. I too had been told that I had a fatty liver. I did the liquids for like a month. When I had my surgery, I was told that my liver was normal size and caused no problems with my surgery. Just stick with the liquids and good luck.

Getting in the swing of things. 22 miles this week for a total of 37 miles so far. Everyone keep up the good work.

Welcome and hope that you find lots of information from this site. I have. Don't worry about others weight loss, just keep you eye on your goal. I know I get flustrated with everyone at work constantly asking me how much I have lost, especially when it seems that the weight is just not coming off. Just keep up good work and you will get there.

15 miles down. Need to pick up pace and keep going. Great work so far everyone.

I have the WII fit and I use it some. I don't know that I would recommend it for a whole family. To be able to use it on screen with everyone, you would need extra foot boards. They can do it without those if you wanted. There is another exercise one that uses the controllers that I wished I would have gotten instead of the fit.

I am going for my first fill tomorrow. I am wondering how many cc's is common for a first fill?
-
Count me in. Since just cleared by surgeon to start my exercising this will be great. Will shoot for 50 miles.
-
Thanks for the response. My Doc I hear just does 1cc on first fill and I want to ask for more. Especially since first fill free and costs thereafter. I am glad to hear no real problems with larger first fills. Will talk with him today.

Need Lap Band Buddy / Mentor empty-nester needing ideas
bellaboo posted a topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I am 6 weeks out and going for 1st fill next week. I am an empty nester who is finding it difficult to cook healthy for one person. Looking for anyone with some ideas and help to keep me on track. -
I completely understand and am so glad to find this site. I am also having a hard time eating like I am supposed to. I am an empty-nester so only have to cook for myself. I find it hard to cook healthy for one. I am not doing any protein shakes, guess I should start back on those? Just be thankful that it is coming off. Keep up the good work.
