I was self pay. My doctor since I was self pay gave me a $2500 discount and the fees covered fills for 6 months. The hospital also gave a discount for cash payments. You may want to ask. They worse thing they could says is no.

Hi! I was banded on October 29th. I have had one fill and have very little restriction. I have my next fill on Jan. 7th. I have lost 25 to 28 pounds depending on water weight. I am hoping that I will be able to make more time to excercise.

I had my first fill this week, with Dr.Johnson in Georgia. It was no bog deal a small pinch. I have another appointment in 4 weeks for another fill. Beth Massengale Stockbridge, GA

Hi! I remember exactly how you are feeling. My surgery was on October 29th. It has also been a month. I feel amazing. I don't know where you are having your surgery, but mine was done in Atlanta, GA at Emory Johns Creek Hospital. I was an out patient surgery. My surgery took about a half hour. I was a little sore afterward but that is it. After recovery, I was given popsicles and began walking round the floor. I was released to go home at 2pm. When I got home my mom and I went walking. I have tried to go walking every day since then. I have felt stronger everyday! I went back to work with so much energy. I have lost 23 pounds. If I can be of any help let me know!!! Hi! I was banded on October 29th. My surgery was roughly 20 mins. I was sore when I woke up but have had relatively no strong pain since then. I have lost 23 pounds since surgery. My doctor told me at 2 weeks my job was to keep the weight off, until my 1st fill on December 15th. I only get hungry in the afternoon, other than that I make sure I keep to the 4oz rule. It is a mind game, more than hunger. So for Thanksgiving, we are headed to Disney. Lots of exercise and fun, :redface: Beth Massenglae

I got to set my surgery date this week. It is October 29th. I could have gone earlier but I had to work around my concert schedule at school.
