i am guilty too!!> since i have to cook for 2 small kids and a husband i have been in the kitchen ALOT more that i want to. I am 12 days post OP and while making my daughters Peanut B & Jelly sandw. i have liked tha knife, i uhave been doing this for the last 2 days. I KNOW i should not...but being that i perfer salty food i just could not resist...i am sick of the shake, yogurt, pudding, jellos!!.. i need to to get on track!! good luck!!

im 10 days post op...hate the liquid diet and counting the days to be allowed to each some sort of solid. Your story has made me think..... i cannot go crazy! it took me 10 year to gaib 100lbs i need to take it slow to loose it. thanks

hi everyone. I am a stay @ home mom with a weekend desk job. I plan to take it easy for a week with the help of my mother since i was told not to lift anything over 10lbs and my twin boys weight 3 times as much. My surgeon told me not to go to my desk job for the first weekend cuz the insicions site will be tender and sitting 8 hours at a desk would be uncomfortable and he does not want me driving while on meds. Im going under the knife on WED!!! i was told to loose 10lbs but i have only lost 2...they would not cancel the surgery for that??????

I can relate. I just turned 24 this week and i comited the mistake of telling my family.My husband is 100% on my side, he just worries that i will loose too much. My parents are positive but my father who lives in South America is nervous about the "risks". I keep telling myself there r risks to everything and the benifits surpass the risks.My skinny friends and family have their opinions, i just told them that if they were nevative one to please keep them to themselfs cuz right now i need unconditional support!! Hope you are doing well. MY surgery is sept 30th.. new life.. new jeans here i come!!

ok iti s 6am on Sat and i am at work feeling terrified. My surgery is coming up in 5 days and i have not lost the 10lbs the surgent wants me to loose. My body just want to hang on to every ounce!!! will they cancel the surgery because of it?? this is running around my head... if i starve myself for the next 4 days can i loose ?? ...no, i dont think im going to do that. On thing for sure if the surgery should get canceled i dont know when i will be able to rescheduel cuz my husband and my mother have taken time off to help me with my 3 small kids...and i took off some time from work. Anyway i guess i am just venting to myself.

HI.. I also have a BMI of 43 and i was also in shock when i found out my Ins approved the surgery...for some reason in the back of my head i thought that since i did not have diabetes, HB, sleep apnea that i was not going to pass. SO now my surgery in coming up on Sept 30th.. Im very nervous but like you said iti si a start of a new life!! Good luck to you may the weight melt away

HI.. i am just about to have my surgery. I have been doing the process since Dec of 2008 and my husband has jet to ready the LapBand info i have given him. So i am not sure if he knows what the changes will be, specially since i do 98% of the food shopping and cooking for him and my 3 small kids. He loves me just as i am but he knows that even though i dont have a low self esteem i do get agervated when going on a plane, or getting in the back of a car, or even going on park rides...just this summer i was told for the fisrt time i could not get on a ride with my 5 year old!! Oh and by the end of the day my sciatica is killing me and i can bearly walk....So my husband knows that this is going to change my life and maybe he is afraid that it will change ME and the y i feel about him. He is only about 20lbs overweight. I love him and i cant wait till i can be more active!! Mybe you husband needs to put himself in your shoes.. go to a seminar. Read some of the blogs in here so that he realizez that obesity is serious and the Lap BAnd is not a "lazy way" to loose weight. It is going to take work and dicipline. Good luck
