i just realized that on Tuesday i am going to a work related meeting where i am going to see people i have not seen since i weighed 276-280lbs:unsure: These women are very jugmental and i am sure they have been giving their opinion about my surgery and im sure their expectations are high ( none are Obese) I now weight 243lbs... I cant really see a big difference when i look at myself but i am kinda hoping my coworkers do...is that stupid? i know that what comes outof my bosses mouth is usually not sincere..so that will bug me. Anyways... i know come tuesday i will be looking in my closet for something slimming..black always works.

hope you are feeling better.. you husband should be playing nurse so that u can get the Band this week. My band was also covered by insurance...what a blessing! my weight loss has been slow but i do not regret it. I am eating healthy and have much more energy to get my butt up and work out. Good luck !!!

hi Vicking_ girl My surgeon seems to be very conservative. I got my 1st fill 2 months after surgery and i have basically seen him every 2 months. i did call his office last week and left a message with his assistant that i would like to try to come in soon and not have to wait another 4 weeks for my fill. I am still waiting for a call back. It is not easy for me to drive into Boston since i have to find someone to look after the kids if my husband cant take the day off. Right now i am doing : Zumba 2 days recumbant bike for 1 hour 1 day toning/ tummy crunches at home 2 days Luckily my kids dont have weight issues as of yet. I do not denie them anything but i do limit portions. The problem is me grassing all day while in the kitchen making meals or snack for the kids. Thanks for the advise. I will try to be patient and hopefully i will see results soon.

hi... I know how you feel. since i got the band 7 months ago i have not had a soda or bread. I can still eat rice and pasta ( in small portions) I am a latin girl and giving up rice all together is against my religion ! I do try to eat red meat once in a while for the protein. But taking care of 3 small kids it seems i am always surrounded by food and i spend half of my day in the kitchen prepapring meals/snacks. Lucky my kids are not heavy but i do limit they portions. I have my next Dr appt in 4 weeks... hopefully witht he 4th fill i will get closer to that "sweet spot" i hear so much about. Good luck

hi Steffi... you are not alone. I was banded in Sept/09 and lost 25lbs in the first 3 months but in the last 4 months i have only lost about 10lbs. I have 3 fills and still dont feel any restriction. My surgeon is being very conservative. He lets me go see him every 8 weeks...which seems like a lifetime since my body seems to just want to maintain its current weight. i am still 2/3 away from my initial GOAL. Hopefully this new Dr will help you out and be more supportive. I have been told that everyone is different and weighloss comes easier to some that others. WE just need to keep it up...and not give up on the Band. Vic

I was kinda in the same boat. I basically gainned 100 lbs in 10 years. And non of it can be blamed on getting prego 2 times... second time with twins. I actually lost weight. I am the only obese member of my family, my brother is maybe 10 lbs overweight and its like a pig!! Anyways, i have been banded since sept 09 and do not regret it. it has been fustrating since the weight is coming off slowly...i think my body just wants to hang on to the FAT. My insurance covered the band, but the fill visit are another thing. For one visit i had to pay over $250 so you may want to check into that. Good luck

it was nice reading your changes... except for the 5K and the Yoga I am still working up to that. I have lost 35 lbs in 7 months , its going very slow but i still have no restriction. I did tell my Dr i wanted to be conservative about the fills since i did not want to experience discomfort in a daily basis. With 3 small kids if i should get Stuck i would not be able to 'stop and relax' wich is what my Dr and nurse tell me to do if i should ever get pressure...oh yeah and spit. Good luck to you

I apologize if my pics offend anyone, but I really want people to see how the process has been for me with at least some clothing on and to be honest, the granny panties just dont fit anymore. This is me, 5 months post surgery...still a work in progress.

Ok so i had my 3rd fill one month ago. I now have 5.6CC and in the first week i lost 4lbs.....and that is it!! Once i started eating solids i have maintained. In total i have lost about 35lbs..in the last 7 months. i am only 1/3 away from my goal and i have ZERO restriction. One night i was able to eat about 10oz of MEAT! and to top it off i had about 2oz of mash potatoes. I have been keeping to 1200-1500 cal per day and about 65+ grams of protein. I am working out 2-3 times a week. I just started going to Zumba classes and at home i work on tummy crunches. It just seems my body is refussing to give up any FAT. I have not been perfect with the Diet.... with 3 small kids it seems i am always surrounded by food and so i find myself eating cookies, crackers, godfish, chips... and ofcourse those things go down well:sneaky: I have my next appt in 4 weeks. I would be somewhat happy to be able to loose a total of 10 lbs before then. I am guessing my Dr will give me another 1CC... I read alot of blogs and hear people say that they " are at their sweet spot" I would truely be happy if i could loose 1 lbs a week...more importantly to see iches come off!! I hope soon i will be able to have a more positive Blog. thanks for hearing me out... its good to vent!

Im asking the same questions... I have had 3 fill and i am at 5.6 CC and still have no restrction...my next fill is in MAy and since the last fill i have only lost 3 lbs. I am working out and keeping my calorie intake bellow 1300 with high protein. I also have a 10Cc band and i am scare that i will get to the max. I guess we need to take it slow and it will happen. After all it took me 10 years to gain 100lbs, why should i expect the weight to fall off in 7 months. good luck

Week 48....Worst Trip Ever & Sickness
Gorda123 commented on Lapband LaLa's blog entry in Lapband LaLa
holy Sh*t!!! I have been trying to convince my husband to go to South America to visit the country i was born in. Just my luck something like that would happen to us. As Americans we are pampered with all the convinient 24 hour daily living and even though i was born and raised in Colombia i am sure i would have a hard time surviving there...specially with clothing since Xl is the biggest they go and their XL is more like a American M. It sure sucks that you lost all your new outfits, someone in France is looking good. How does it feel to be totally unfilled? are you hungry? I am still waitng to feel restriction and i still have not lost much weight...only 3 lbs in the last 3 weeks. -
DIET COKE...it has been 7 months since i have had one. I still have a couple of cans in my fridge (for when grammy comes over) . I miss my caffeinne!!!!
