  1. 1,300? I'd say you were a tad overzealous in recruiting. Come back to Farmville. You don't need so many strangers there
  2. Are you having a hard time drinking Water at all or just drinking it fast (guzzling)? I was very swollen after my last fill to the point where I could not chug water like I usually do but if I took my time it went down fine. This cleared up after about 5 days. If you find it difficult to drink at least 64 ounces of water a day, you are at risk of dehydration. Please contact your surgeon.
  3. Wow, 6 weeks seems like a long time but if you think about it, it is a relatively short time considering you are at least 2,184 weeks old and hopefully have another 2,500 ahead of you. You can do it. It's very easy if you keep a positive attitude and your eye on the end result. Good luck!

    Curious

There are plenty of success stories from women your size Lap-Band Do you really want "cheap" surgery? Inexpensive, quality surgeons do exist. Please do a lot of homework and ask around before going with one just because the price is right.

    Mashed Potatoes and Eggs?

I did pizza Soup during puree week. Tomato sauce oregano no-salt black pepper mozzarella and cheddar cheese pureed onions, peppers and garlic It came out great. chicken breast disintegrated in the food processor and a lot of fat free miracle whip was good as well. Pork chops do not work so well.
  6. Melody, Other than the times I overeat, I do fine with chicken and pork unless it is overcooked. I cook my meat until the center is 165 - 170 degrees. I don't try cooking by weight or time. I either under or over cook.
  7. It hurts me because I am an idiot and try to eat too much sometimes. On those days I am not an idiot, I don't even know it's there.

    Spring into March 2010 Bandsters

Welcome aboard Laura. Hi everyone, I'm averaging about 10 pounds a month since surgery and knocking off small goal after small goal. Saturday I hit 222 which was a milestone because it is 1 pound less than my roommate weighed when he moved out in March. I was 140+ pounds heavier than him just last September. Some time in the next few days I should hit my next goal, double-digits (kilos of course). Then it a toss up between getting to Onderland and weighing less than my puppy. He about 195-200 pounds and gaining. Just wanted to stop in; brag and say hi.
  9. Congratulations!!!!!! I flew last month and could barely get the seatbelt on but I did it. As uncomfortable as it was, I was going to win!
  10. Congrats!! You aren't faceless words on the screen any more. :scared2:

Can you blame him for not listening? I wouldn't listen to anyone that tried spreading bull shit like virgin pregnancy either.
  15. The confusion is understood. It is not a profile picture but an avatar that we see in the forums. Clikc User CP and the edit avatar. Or click here: LAP-BAND
  16. It's not an examination or test. They will simply inform you how to eat and what changes will be required after banding. Mine were all done in a group setting. There was never any question about what diets I have tried. Those questions came from my surgeon at my initial consultation.

    Pre-op weigh in questions

If you don't lose any weight, it is just that much longer will take to reach your goal. If you lose enough weight to make a difference in insurance coverage, you may want to rethink the surgery yourself. You have 6 months with a dietitian. Take advantage of the time. Practice the rules and behaviors that will be required once banded. I had 5.5 months from initial consultation until surgery and dropped 50% of my excess weight (95 lbs) by cutting down my portion and practicing. The surgeon's office sent my initial weight to the insurance company. So, it didn't make a difference. I went through with surgery anyways because I didn't get the band to lose weight. I got it to keep me from gaining the weight I am working hard to lose. If you want to just sit around for 6 months and wait for the band to do the work for you, you'll be sorry. It is up to us to do the work. The band is just a tool to help us.

  19. It is the polls. When somebody votes in a poll it does that. It drove me crazy on a couple of them when it kept saying that I was the last poster and I hadn't posted to the thread in months.
  20. Gays should be able to marry but make gay divorce illegal. Women should be able to abort. Some should be forced to. Adults that believe in god are nuts. Yes, you are a raving lunatic! Capital punishment is the answer to prison overcrowding. Welfare should be halted. Let the lazy scum die! Obamacare is going to ruin America's healthcare. Where does this leave me?
  21. In the summer it is usually a sign of dehydration. It could be a slight case of pneumonia or a URI. I'm not a doctor but speak from experience.
  22. I eat the same things I always ate. Just a lot less of them. For Breakfast I had a half cup of Kelloggs Mini-Wheats For lunch I had some chicken burrito, refried Beans and spanish rice. For dinner I had some of the leftovers from lunch.
