Yup Yoda you are right, there is tax free outlet shopping in North Conway NH and there are 2 large outlet malls in Myrtle Beach. The weird thing about driving in New Hampshire is that there are huge tax free liqueur stores right on the highway, just pull off the highway buy your booze and get right back on the highway. It's just like the service station we have on the 401, fill up use the facilities and get your Tim's except there you get your liqueur. We are leaving March 27th and we should be back April 15th. Yoda are your in-laws golfers?

Wow Lila you are doing fantastic. Glad you are well

Cloe, I would love to give ya details but Yoda wants too much info. She wants to hide in my suitacase and spy!!! Please don't tell her, I think she is on my tail. Gaffer knows what I am talking about. LOL. Cloe and Yoda or and anyone who wants to crash, we have a 3 bedroom condo on the beach and there are only 2 of us.

We are going to North Conway first then Boston and then Myrtle Beach. We plan to play some golf, long walks on the beach and just plain relaxation. I can't wait!! :whoo: :whoo:

Mandi, sorry about your Grand-ma. Alzheimer's a terrible disease, very hard on the family members. My heart goes out to you and your family :success1:

Good advice from one OLD fart to another:nervous Speaking of old farts, I have been much more, shall I say, gaseous since the surgery? :embarassed: Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon? I wonder if GasX helps with that kinda gas. Has anyone tried it?:guess

Thanks for all your encouragement but after not being able to eat breakfast and lunch, I decided to postpone the fill. I did manage to eat some supper. My plan is to start walking, do some tea toddling, go on vacation and decide after I get back from vacation if I should go for a fill. Can't wait to leave for vacation!!!
-
So after paying attention to all of your advice, I decided to book for another fill. It is scheduled for next Tuesday. I decided to go to Mississauga for the fill (5 hr drive) instead of Ottawa. Wish me luck....this is the one!!! Right??? I am also curious about the new clinic. Will let you know my impressions. I booked a hotel room downtown T.O. Any suggestions on what I should do downtown TO next Tuesday night? Green any ideas?

I don't beleive this to be true, but check it out with your Docs. I would be true if you had tha gastric by-pass surgery where they by pass the large intestine, so the alcohol is absorbed very quickly but is then does not last long.
-
Yeah Lila, could you teach me how to do that? The band is sooo fickle. If I could only remember that when I am hungry. Hope you are doing well. When are you coming back? The weather here today was balmy 11 C. Life is good.

Best of Luck Dave.

I must be the Queen of B....ing. Do you want me to call for you. I don't know how I got the deal I got. I wasn't so successful with Bell ExpressView. I had a satellite dish with them and as much as I complained and was unhappy with the service they still took me for 2 months worth of satellite TV that I never used which totaled 148 dollars before taxes. That was after I already signed a contract for my cell phone or they would have never gotten my business. I think that we are on the right track to stay away from them. By the way, my Internet and cable are now with the local cable company, NOT WITH BELL

Yoda, that happened on the 10th. I missed it, sorry. Happy belated ONEDERLAND -
Wow Maria, Almost everyone born in March. We have a similar situation in my family but we were all born in July.
-
Dodie, I'm sorry you feel that way cause you must know that we have all felt that at some time in our lives. We all have a common bond and that bond is that good part of our lives we have been overweight and feeling rejected in one way or another. I'm know that was not Cloe or Mandi's intent to exclude anyone so don't take offense, because these are the people you want as your advocate. They have a lot of knowledge and experience that have helped me and many others who have come along later. Take care Dodie.

Mandi, when you hit the 12's you definetly have to spend the bucks!!!! I know I would. Think about how much you have saved on food. Great NSV!
-
WTG Mandy, It's been a rough few weeks for you. Congrats

Morning: Decaf coffee, low fat sugar free yogurt, sometimes a piece of cheese or a hard boiled egg Lunch: Soup and another yogurt Supper: Whatever we are having, meat (a few bites if I can get it down), potatoes (about 1/4 of one), vegetable (if I can). Evening snacks: usually popcorn about 2 cups of popped or a small bowl of low fat chips. Yesterday, I was able to eat a whole piece of lasagna, my husband served it so it was a fair size portion. I also had a piece of garlic bread. That's why I'm thinking of another fill. I think my biggest downfalls are cheese and alcohol. Cheese is easy to get down and I love it. I usually have couple of drinks 3-4 times a week. I can't drink wine anymore so it's usually vodka. I tried eliminating drinking altogether and did lose a few lbs. I really don't want to give it up completely but maybe I should. We are going on vacation at the end of the month so I will definitely be imbibing but maybe when we come back, I should seriously consider reducing that amount and maybe get another fill.

Cloe, I had the same thing happen to me. After complaining to numerous people at Bell, someone who had the authority, told me to pick up a phone at the Bell center. I had to pay for it but Bell cut my monthly payment in half until the phone was paid for. It's the squeaky wheel that gets the oil so start squeaking!!! Oh by the way, this did not extend my contract with Bell. Good Luck

Happy Birthday Maria!!! Too bad your ma could'nt hold off a few extra days. You could'a been born on St Patty's day. You are doing awesome. 92 lbs that's great!!!!

Crosby, Coburn and Mumford... TO here I come!!!
Wheezy replied to CanMacDaddy's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I think I only had to wait 6 weeks, and that was long enough. Congrats on your surgery date. Let us know if you get Crosby's signature. Good luck -
Hmmm Last spring, I guess I was a few months too late to join in this thread. You are right though Cloe, this site has gotten soooo busy. It's impossible to catch up on all the news. Cloe, you are doing awesome. I'm thinking of going for another fill. I want to know from all of you old timers. How much restriction do you need to lose? Do you want or have to be at the point where you can hardly eat anything? Seriously, I have been a verrrry slow loser and need some advice. How tight do you have to be to have the successes you have experienced. I need help!!!!
