So I phoned the Dr in Ottawa today, the clinic had faxed my info, so my fill is schedule for Nov 21. I asked if Dr. M had indicated how much fill to give, the receptionist answered, fill to 2ccs. Yikes!! That sounds like a lot. Anyway, I'll give it a try, at least if it's too much, I won't have far to go. I'm sooooo happy I can have it done in Ottawa. Hope everything goes well.

Mandi, Glad you had a good trip, sorry about the stomach thing. I'm confused about this whole band thing. It sounds like you are hardly getting any nutrients in, but I know what you mean about regretting an unfill because things could be different tomorrow.

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Cloe!

Was going to get my winter tires put on soon....On second thought, I may just slide through the winter!! Maybe it will go by faster. -
Hey Mandi, Great photos, I think I recognize the town I'm from in one of your Ontario shots.!!!!(not) I have a few program for editing photos, I haven't found one of them that resizes photos. Do you have a suggestion for software that would do it?

The ground beef would be no problem for me, but the bun.....stuck city!!! Maybe you may need another fill but sometimes it depends on the time of day or the actual day. Are you losing at a rate of 1 to 2 lbs a week? I'm in the process to schedule another fill with a Dr in Ottawa. The Doc in Ottawa started doing fills in October, hope he's had enough practice.

Anyone experience this on the pre-diet?
Wheezy replied to Doriana's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I don't thing that the throat thing is related to to the yogurt or cottage cheese, in fact it should prevent thrush. But what do I know!! Anyhoo.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! -
Another great NSV, bending over!!!

Hey Mandi, I saw on one of the post that you resized a picture. How did you do it?
-
Don't worry Cloe, things will get better. I can't believe that since I met you at the clinic you are down about 30 more lbs. I wish that I was down 30 since I met you, I'm down 8 since then. So even though all of the other stuff is going on, don't dismay. You are doing great. Keep your chin up and be proud of your accomplishments and from what I can tell you are a very good mother, a hard worker, you love and take very good care of your family, you have a husband who loves you and anyone would be grateful to call you their friend.

Nope no big jackpot. I always set a limit, can get in trouble otherwise. I know how people get addicted to gambling, it's the adrenalin and endorphins that give you the feeling of euphoria. Cures a headache anytime. I should try it next time I get a migraine, on second thought, the drive would do me in before I get there.

Hey Maria, I must off missed all of the exiting news so sorry for the delay to Congratulate you.

letter from the minister of health about the lab band
Wheezy replied to andreerichards1's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Good Luck with your fight. I find it unimaginable that the minister would suggest that you should pursue a much more invasive and dangerous surgery!!! The gall!!!! -
My co-worker's wife is a school teacher and she used Velcro to keep the poppies on her kids. Not sure exactly how she did it but she should patten it!!! I always buy so many poppies because I keep losing them. Maybe there's a method to the madness. The Vet's would probably lose a ton of money from the donation if someone actually developed one that would actually stay on. Not that I don't think they deserve the money, they deserve every little bit they get. Rememberance Day Trivia, Did you know the author of In Flanders Field was Canadian? In Flanders Fields By: Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD (1872-1918) Canadian Army IN FLANDERS FIELDS the poppies blow Between the crosses row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below. We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie In Flanders fields. Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields.

I went to the Casino last night. It's on the Reservation, on the US side. I lost some money, not too bad. I always set a limit and always spend a little bit more. The band was great, my co-worker is the drummer. They play music that makes you want to dance. The only problem is that I had to wash all the clothes I wore right away. The Reservation still allows smoking in a public place even though it's a State law and has been for a few years. I had a great time, thanks for asking

OK but just one, my favorite of Peggy's Cove. Can't wait to see Mandi's pics
-
Hey, Cloe, how's your new fill going?
-
I have 1.5 ccs in a 4 cc band. You know the weird thing is I have had restriction all day today. How strange is that, it's like my band has a mind of it's own. It's saying "No I don't want another fill, I don't want to be poked, so I will fool my owner just for a little while, until she cancel's her fill and then, I am going to act up again"
-
Have a great weekend Mandi. Looking forward to seeing some photos. I have some really nice pics of Peggy's Cove I could share but....I'll spare the people with dial up.

I phoned the clinic today and was told that they would give my info to Dr. M. on Monday (they must have forgotten that Monday is a holiday). They would fax the info to the Dr in Ottawa, like how much fill to give. Next week I have to call the Dr in Ottawa and make the appointment. I don't know how busy the Dr in Ottawa is, so I'm guessing it may take a few weeks. The only restriction I am feeling now is in the morning. The rest of the day restriction is pretty well non existent. A guy a work with is a drummer in a band and he is playing at the Casino tonight so I'm going there with a group from work. I'll come back poorer but it should be fun anyway.

Good luck. The headache thing is a pain, I missed my Motrin (can't take it pre-op) the Tylenol did help some.
-
I thought it was going to be smooth sailing. At least that's what Dr. M lead me to believe. Because of the problems, swelling and lots of pain post-op, Dr M told me that it was likely that I would probably have an easy time to find my "sweet spot". He said that 1 fill would likely do it. Well I'm a little over 2 months post-op and will schedule my 3rd fill! I am calling the clinic tomorrow to arrange it in Ottawa. Dr M wanted me to have my fills in Mississauga, but he doesn't have to do the long drive. It takes 12 hours to drive to Mississauga and back as opposed to only 2 hours to go to Ottawa. I could make it a shopping day. It could actually be enjoyable! Hope the clinic agrees that I can have it done in Ottawa. Wish me luck

Yup, your right. Don't know when she will freak out again. The name of the game is avoidance. Stay as far away as possible. I will take your advice into consideration about the doc thing.

Great NSV Mandu!!!

Thanks for all the encouragement. I will give it one more week and if there is still no weight loss, I will contact the Dr. Green, am I stressed? That's an understatement. It's so stressful at work, I would really like to tell them to kiss my butt and walk out of there and never return. Oh Yeah, remember that crazy lady I work with, she is sweet as pie to me. What the f....ck, what a psycho. It's like she never did anything. I find that scarier than if she was still flipping out. Cloe, did you try a product for hair loss, if so did you find anything that worked?
