WTG Mandi, 1st place even though you have to share it. After she had her daily breakfast sandwich did you follow her to the washroom? I'm being bad....sorry..

I live in a little town near the Quebec Ontario border. Everything is green here. Some people were playing golf last week and it went up to 12 degrees today. The weather is really weird.
-
The roots on the last photo are about 10 feet high so it was a very old tree. The pictures really don't depict how much the storm affected the landscape around here. The weather is really getting weird, the storms are getting more and more violent. Hard to imagine that some people don't believe that global warming is not really happening.

Valleyfield, that's about 30 mins from where I live. My uncle lived in Valleyfield, his son, my cousin was murdered in Valleyfield probably 20 years ago. Was very sad... he was my parent's godchild. What a small world.

Don't forget who your friends are when you pick up the 27 million. LOL

e Yes, the trees were knocked down by the storm. I call Hydro after the storm to see when they would restore our power, they said that there were 113 trees down on power lines in our area. I just a took a tour of the park in our neighbourhood, everywhere you look the trees are down. I took a few more shots today. It's been 2 weeks since the storm and there are still some power lines down.

I would also be nervous about using Medicard. You may be better off getting a line of credit from your bank, probably a lot lower interest.

I didn't tell my mom, it was a personal choice. I didn't want her to worry, I just told her I was going on a diet. My weight loss has been very slow so that made things easy as far as explaining things

I have some pics of the results of the storm so here goes, no garanties.

Yeah, yeah that's it, never tried drugs! Last week I had tea with the queen of England, yeah that's it.

You guys are so good to me. Yes it's a struggle recuperating from the storm but it's not all that bad. No one was hurt and the only thing lost was material. Everything will sort itself out eventually. Thank you all for your support. HUGZ!!!!!

Booze sounds good...but seriously...I have anxiety about the Christmas season. Growing up Christmas was a sad time for my mother, never had enough money (I grew up with 6 other siblings) and she was usually depressed. Even though she tried to hide it from us, it rubbed off on the kids especially the sensitive ones namely me. I also grew up in a town that there was a pedophile ring involving priests, cops, lawyers, doctors, parole officers and teachers. It is hard to find a family in the town I live in that was not affected by this scandal. Except for 1 teacher all of the pedophiles involved got off on technicalities or committed suicide or died of natural deaths. There were so many official involved that they were successful in covering up most of what actually happened. Our own parish priest was named as one of the perps. Because of all of this I can't walk into a church without feeling anger. Christmas is just another day that reminds me that I should go back to chuck. There has been 2 inquiries that did nothing to reveal the truth and we are currently going through a third inquiry. True story check out this link http://www.theinquiry.ca/ Wow I am rambling.....So much to say about the stresses of Christmas......Cloe, relax can it be that bad?

Rye and ginger, a popular drink around here also. Personally, can't stand the taste or smell of rye, bourbon or scotch. The first thing I ever drank was rye.....got very very ill. Never been able to drink it again and that was probably 25 years ago. I like everything else although since banding can't drink wine anymore. When I drink wine, I get terrible heartburn. My choice these days is a White Russian, the milk in it is easier on the stomach.

Chloe, OMG, I just realised 82 lbs!!!!!! You are doing so great. WTG

I've been very busy with the Christmas rush, parties and shopping. Were also still recuperating from the storm and flood we had. We had several people in the house to give estimates to repair the damages. The house is a mess, well the basement is anyway. I also volunteered to work last weekend because we were short staff, cant' remember the last time I worked a weekend. I've got a lot of catching up to do, so many post to read. I really hate to miss anything.... want to know how everyone is doing. When I get a chance I would like to get some pictures of the damage in the area from the storm, maybe if and when I get the photos, I will post them.

Yoda's Jedi Journals (aka Yoda's Yammerin's)
Wheezy replied to Yoda's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hmmm Yoda, torn cartilage does not repair itself. It may feel better after a while because the inflammation may subside but once a tear always a tear. I don't understand why Docs don't tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth!!!!! The good news is that I have torn cartilage in my knee and it hasn't bothered me in years. Don't despair, your knee could get back to doing all the activities you were doing without pain and without intervention. -
Good Luck Dame.

Welcome Peggysue Tell us about you.

Happy retirement Green!!!! Oh what to do? I would travel, sleep in and exercises more. Exercises more means I would exercises. I've been a bad Wheezy haven't done it in a while. I would make more home cooked meals, maybe try some cooking classes. I would certainly spend more time on the computer, learning about it that is. Maybe I would work at Tim Horton's or whatever else I would fancy that day. I would try different hobbies that I never had the patience to do when I was younger, maybe take painting classes. I'm developing an interest in photography, maybe I would spend more time exploring this........Or maybe I would just sleep all day. Green you live in Toronto everything is at your fingertips. There is sooooo much you could do. I don't want to wish my life away but I can't wait to try retirement. Enjoy Green!!!!!
