Had my band fitted in 2005Lost 14lbs in first 4/5 monthsNo noteable loss since thenHad baby in 2007Total loss over 4yrs 20lbsI think band has now slipped as I am suddenly unrestricted.Dissapointed overall - found that I was too restricted to eat anything healthy - fruit, meat, pasta etc all would not go through band, ended up eating only junk food that would melt through the band. I think it will need to be re-sited or removed, if this is so then I will have it removed.I know it works well for some but it was the wrong choice for me - I never was a big eater, just ate too much in the way of fats and sugars and my cookie consumption remains unaltered except that with the band there is no other choice other than soup which i cant have for every meal.
