Lap-Band in Mexico, scheduled for 4-29-10

Hi! My Doctor's office provides Tri-Care! You can Charge your surgery and make monthly payments on it. I am in Florida and doing very well. NO Complications! If you are interested you can e-mail me ~ just let me know. The payments are less and low interest too. They replace the extra food cost I was spending before and the meds too! No prescriptions since surgery. Follow my blog at www.thelazydayz.blogspot.com, and read about the complications I had prior to surgery. I too was really depressed when BCBS would not pay for my surgery. I feel like I saved them knee replacements, etc etc!
  2. You look amazing Renee! Thanks for checking in! I have started a Blog at www.thegoldendayz.blogspot.com, please follow me on my journey! The weather here is most beautiful all the time, but a little crazy lately. I would die in 12 degrees, it was 22 in Tallahassee, Florida last night! We live in the Panhandle, near Destin, Panama City Beach and Pensacola Beach, White Sand Beaches, just a beautiful place, but a bit cold for this time of the year! I have been watching you when you post your photos you look amazing!

  3. Hi Ken, Glad to have you on board, this is such an inspiration to us all to have the great opportunity to have the LapBand AP surgery. Soooo much better than Gastric Bypass! It seems you are doing great, and hey thanks for all the great compliments. 2010 IS my year to be THIN and yours too, I say we name it and Claim it! It is some work involved in this Journey, but an easier Journey it is with the assist of our bands! Welcome aboard, keep in touch!

    Scheduled 3rd Fill

I think I am there, not sure as this is all so new even after six and a half months. But I could only take .1cc at the last fill! I still have great restriction and I am not eating foods that stretch the band out! The more cc's you get the more you are stretching out the band! That is what I was told. I started out getting 1.5 cc's and it has tapered down since then. I don't think I am going to get one next month at all. I feel great, and I am learning to eat those small meals (5-6) per day. What that does is stop your body from going into sleep mode and not metabolizing and burning fat. When you eat small meals you burn fat continuously!!! It does work, I put it to the test after my longggggg plateau! After five fills I think I have hit the Sweet Spot! Good Luck and I know you will get there too!
  13. Hi got your post, Yes I am moving down now again although slower now, but still going down! It was a beautiful day here in the Panhandle of Florida! I have been so cold. I would love to be in the snow a little Ha! Now that I have lost all this weight tho, I just freeze. So glad that Plateau is over, I was getting very depressed! Hope all is going well with you too, you have lost a lot of weight are you feeling better?

  14. Hi! We are over in the Panhandle of Florida, just beautiful here all day, sunshine, no winds, beautiful. Got a little cooler this evening tho when the sun went down and a few showers, as I was pulling in my driveway tonight, I saw a beautiful Rainbow! What a great sign! The day was perfect! I am trying to settle into the fact that people are seeing me different, and I still feel the same somehow? It will hit me one day I hope!

Warmer Weather, and My spirits are lifting too!

:frown:Great!! The warmer weather is here, 68 degrees today! And the sun felt so good! I saw a lot of folks I have not seen in a long time today, and I just got compliments all day. It was truly wonderful. I have never been the center of attention like I was today, and honestly it was sorta embarrassing but in a good way, I could feel myself blushing! It has been 15 years since I was this small. I have a great restriction now so I just can't eat the food I use to consume, down another lb this morning, Yea! I have to drink a lot of fluids now, and stay hydrated, so the lbs will drop, especially with warmer weather coming we all will, it helps your body flush the fat you burn during the day too. Good Luck Guys, Enjoy the coming springs!

  17. :thumbup:I feel so blessed that I heard about the band and went forward with the surgery. Down 74.2 lbs with only 26 lbs to go to get to my goal weight and not quite 7 mos into the program. I have lost over 62% of my excess body weight! And I have managed to keep fairly toned by going to the Gym and Walking! The Hospital Administrator called me for permission to share my photos and story in a Medical Journal that they publish in and I told her YES! I just hope that my story will inspire and help others who are struggling with weight issues in their lives! God Bless you as you continue on this journey is my prayer!

  19. Hey Allie! Thanks for that info! I squeezed on a size 12 today, they fit in the legs, but I can not zip them up all the way without laying down on the bed first and they look sick! In a bad way, LOL I know teens use the word "sick" to mean "wicked~or Good! " But really I looked melted and poured into them. So I know when I get to about 165 I will have some work done too so I can buy and wear clothes that fit, like you are doing. I wore clothes that were loose too many years!!!! How long did it take to heal and feel good after the surgeries?

    Advice Please

I weighed 267 and in six months I am down 72 lbs!!!! Nuff Said? I took Celebrex for pain in my legs and feet, could not wear high heels, no sexy clothes either! I was border line diabetic, took Metphormin for that and now I take no meds at all, occasional Tylenol and a Multi-Vitamin. I ate a low carb diet in preparation for the surgery, still do it works and high protein! I try to eat small portions no more than 8 oz per meal and I have 5 or 6 small ones a day. I drink lots of Crystal Lite, love it. No sodas they are loaded with sugars and make you fat! You can have an occasional beer or wine, but alcohol the first year is pretty much out. It interferes with your weight loss. It is not hard to stay on a plan, cause you don't get hungry with the band. DO IT! You will never reqret it!

    2/5/10

I know what you are saying about auto's. I had the fever, but also paid for my band, best vehicle I ever bought, the vehicle that gets me to thin! LOL I want the PS too and will wait awhile till I get to my goal weight. How much weight did you lose by having the Tummy Tuck? I heard lots of skin and fat are removed and that weighs a lot. You have a nice lookin husband, I know he is proud of you too!
  23. Hey Allie!

Of course I have a long way yet to go and a lot more weight to lose yet, but I also want to have a tummy tuck, the thighs and underarms, and boob lift. Did you do one thing at the time? And did you do your boobs first or last? You look amazing, just wondering if you could give me some pointers. What size jeans are you wearing now?

    Baby Steps

Good for you. I heard at the Seminar here last night that the Realize band is "Too New to Rate!" and not all it is cracked up to be. They have about three years knowledge of how the LapBand AP has done and it is quite well. I love mine! Down 71 lbs now after 6 months! Good luck with everything!
