Day 3 post op - Full Liquids!!

So gald to hear you are doing well, I had very little gas pain, just a sore shoulder once in awhile, I walked too, a lot each day in the early mornings with my dog and I healed fast, about the fourth day, I just had a little soreness, and no real pain, so I got off the liquid loritab. Went back to work at the end of 7 days. God Bless, so proud you are mending well.

4 months post op only down 30?????????

Sounds good to me, I am not your Dr., but 11 months out and down 84, I too see others at my stage who have lost 125 lbs and think what am I doing wrong? Nothing, our bodies are different, different in metabolism, age, bone structure etc. I had some hair loss, not going bald or anything, but when I would shampoo in the shower more was coming out than normal about the sixth month, that has since stopped, but I am not losing the weight as fast now either, about 5 lbs per month average instead of 8 to 10. Don't rush it, you will really get bumbed, just enjoy that fact that 30 lbs are gone and they are NOT coming back!!!! Pat yourself on the back and continue the Journey. Congrats!

there is hope at the end of the tunnel...

Good for you, you do have to be aggressive sometimes, and if you feel you need to be tightened you probably do, we have to learn to read our bodies! Best wishes to you.

    Everyone has bad days.

This is a great diary for us all, good to put it all out there, Better out than in, my grandson says! LOL Really it is good therapy to be blogging and then getting feedback from those who know and live like "WE" do everyday, I mean us with the LapBand, cause really no one else feels like us! I enjoy reading your posts! I never tire of this site and I am almost 11 mos out!
  6. five miles is a lot! Makes me tired thinking about it! LOL You are looking great!

  7. Hey Cathy What part of GA are you from? I wish I had a WII I may get one just for exercise too. I paid for a year at the Gym and just need to go, It stormed here today, so I did not get out and it was my day off, but I worked harder than if I'd worked, LOL, I will go tomorrow tho most definately. I used the weight machines for toning and I got a sore Tennis Elbow, so I had to stop that for awhile, it is better now and I do the cardio! It helped me with my toning in the underarms, I do have a little sagging there tho, and in my legs, they are pretty tight for my age. I had four children so I may want a tummy tuck, but we'll see, that would be in a year from now if I do. Walking seems to keep me in the losing weight category.

Reason I asked about GA, I have a house in Eufaula Ala on the AL side of Lake George, GA. Looks like you are doing great.

Back to the Workouts and Walks

:tt1:Walkin can make you feel really invigorated, and relieves stress (and Gas~right after surgery) So walk more and feel better. Workouts at the Gym are just that, a workout, I don't particularly like to sweat, but it is burning up excess fat, so sweat I do!!!! And do it well I might add. Heading to the Gym anyone? ME!!!!

  14. :frown:Hey a loss is a loss! Down 1.3 lbs this morning! Yeah! When you have taken off over 80 bs, the losses slow down some, well lets face it, I have lost a great percentage of my excess body fat, so you have to realize things will slow down, that is why on EVERY DIET there is the last 20 lbs or so is soooooo harrrrrd to lose! Working hard for the next 10 lbs, hope for it in two months! That is the plan anyway. Was going to walk today, but it is 100 degrees and the lake I walk around is exactly 1 mile and perfectly round, just beautiful, but the Newspaper reported Snakes :mad2:(Moccosins) a lot of them crawling there, so me and snakes don't mix, here I come treadmill. Still Walkin the LapBand Walk! Here's to us Bandsters.:tt1:

    06/13/10 Venting

Hi Meg, I am 10 months post, lost 84 lbs total! Felt the same things you have, I think we all have if we just admit it! Thanks for being so honest about your feelings, that is the first step you have taken toward the healing YOU needed. We are here, if not in person, then this is good therapy for us all anyway! Hang on each day is a learning day with the Band, we are forever Bandsters. Get a tablet and Make yourself write down lst, your mood, 2nd the food intake, 3rd the exercise you had, 4th the fluid intake and water. You will be amazed at what you consume, I rolled 3-4 lbs around for a month and a half thinking that was ALL I was going to do! Then I did the 4 steps above and dropped 6 lbs. then kept it off for a month and dropped another 1.3 lbs yesterday. It will happen don't get discouraged!

The next stage of the journey...

You look beautiful and amazing, one thing I can tell from your photos is how friendly and positive you are and how your inner beauty shines through! God Bless you! You are doing fine and on the right road to a new life in health. One day not too far from now you will look back on these photos and say "That was me?" I know how you feel I have clothes that I wore a few years ago that I can still get in to and not that much change from then, but from where I got to, LOL, there is change, down 84 lbs now 10 months out, feelin great! I know this is a forever committment and I will be smaller yet next year this time, looking forward to hitting my goal of 100 lbs. Continued wishes for your success! Will keep in touch.
  19. Thinking of you today, praying for you and hopeful that all is well and you are going to be on the road to recovery! You will now be one of us a true "Bandster"!!!!

  20. So true about the Vacation, looking back at the photos I did have a great time and relaxed. Now I have lost 5 1/2 lbs since returning home so I am back! Just want to lose about 20 more and then maintain. I want to look good, not emaciated and old, just my age, and grandma's need a little lap! LOL You are looking great, keep it up, good to hear from you again!

    Back on the "BAND WAGON"

:frown:well I am finally feeling nourished after the trip to Alaska where on the cruise I could not seem to eat properly! A slight unfill .04 cc's did the trick. NOW to get back on the Band Wagon and lose the next 10 lbs! I want to lose 30 more, but will get there one day at a time. I am hitting the gym tomorrow and starting my daily walks again, you can sure get off track when going on Vacation, I loved the cruise, but got more lbs to lose! Hoping all is well with your soul and your health, God Bless, have a great day!

  25. Doing great! So nice not to be throwing up everything! I finally feel nourished, now back to the Gym tomorrow! The little bit of unfill I got did the trick, now I need to take off the next 10 lb increment of weight, going to start walking again as well, just miss the exercise, going on Vacation can really get one off track!
