Hello, thank you for your prayer. The surgery was a piece of cake just like you said it would be. I've been at home sippin my broth, yum...lol. I start on mushies tomorrow. This was the best thing I have ever done for myself. I hope all is well with you. Please keep in touch. God is good.

I'm sorry to hear the bad news :confused:. Just think of all the time and money you invested into getting this surgery. Most importantly you got the surgery to get healthy and lose weight. My advise is to do exactly what the doctor says. I know it is hard.... but you can do it. I have been on a liquid diet myself for two weeks pre-opt. I know what it feels like being around good food :drool:and not being able to eat it...but I am committed to following doctors orders. It would be a tragedy if your band slips and then get it taken out. I think you should talk with someone professional about your eating habits. They may be able to get to the source of why you eat trough your band. We both know that the band is just a tool to aide in weight loss. Fifty precent of the band works.... the other fifty precent is you doing the work. I know you can meet the band halfway and do your part. I will be praying for you. Deep down you have the will.... because God gave you the power :confused:.

Why do people treat others differently when they are fat?

People in this world can be so cruel and out right mean. I am very over weight and find that people treat me differently than a skinny person is treated. I was resently on a plane flyng on vacation. On the plane know one wanted me to set by them be cause of my size. Finally the stewardest said to the people on the plan, "this lady needs a seat can some one please scoot over". I had never been so humiliated and embarrased in all my life! So I sat next to this couple and cried my eyes out. They were very rude and had no empathy. They laughed while I was cring and pretened that something was funny outside the airplane window . -
Hello, I'm getting banded Nov 11th 09' exactly one month for today. I'm getting anxious and wondering if I'm going the right direction with this decision. I've been gearing up for this surgery for over a year now. I need some encouragement. I want to make a healthy life style change in my life. I hope I'm doing the right thing. I'm scared I don't want to be. Help!!

Thanks for all of your info. You all have helped me feel better about this decision. I am going to keep saying my prayers and trust that things will bo alright. I am going to go through with this and do what ever it takes to see a healthier new me in the future. I will keep in touch with all of you and thanks again.

All aboard girl, I would like to join you on this journey too. I have struggled with this weight for most part of my life and It's now or never to make a change. Right now I'm at my biggest at 360lbs pre- opt. I know if I don't do something now I will be 400lbs before long. My prayers are with you. Please pray for me too.

Thank you Vmack2001, for your comment on the blog. I will try to do everything the doc says because I heard if you throw up a lot your band could slip. Thats another thing I'm affraid of. Congratulations on you 38lb weight loss. I would like to be your friend.

Thank you for the encouragement on the blog. I feel that if I don't do something now I would be 400# by this time next year too. It is easy putting on the pounds but girl is it a struggle getting them off. That is why I need this band to help me end this battle. Thank you again and good luck.

Hi grnis2, thank you so much for answering my blog. I needed the info. I was originally scheduled for the surgery Oct 7th too. It has been rescheduled to Nov 11th. The reason why it was changed is because I am flying to Las Vegas Oct 21. The Doc said it would be to risky to do the surgery two weeks before my trip because I might have complications.

Hello. You look great!!! My surgery was originally scheduled Oct 7th'09 that is today, but has been rescheduled to Nov 11th'09. I hope to look as good as you once my weight is off.
