I am going to Puerta Vallarta on Jan 4 (just waiting for confirmation) It´ll cost me $200 us to have it done under fluro. I´ve probably saved more than $200 not eating and drinking so I guess it will balance out!! hahaha

Hello every one. Well, I went into the city to pick someone up at the airport. Hit the malls. Am I crazy??! :bananapartyhat: There is a Christmas rush in Mexico too! I went to Walmart. I found a scale where you pay 2 pesos and it spits out your weight. How desperate am I, I weighed my self dressed in a store full of peoples without a care. :faint: That is a NSV of sorts!!! Oh and not only once but twice, just incase! I was happy with the numbers considering I was dressed and wearing sandles.:clap2: My major problem right now is I am barely able to keep anything down. Christmas we went out for supper. :hungry: I had a forkful of mashed potatoes and stuffing and 2 bites of ham and ever since, I can barely drink. Today I suffered from a caffine withdrawal headaache and probably from dehydration. I really do not want to have to get an unfill here:cry Mandi, you had a similar problem, right? How long did it last for you? My fill was Dec 5th. I really want to eat guacamole and refried beans. I have only been eating tings that do not taste gross coming back out. Because everything has!! HI mOOKIE I flew home 2 days after my surgery and the seatbealt was not an issue. But if you can bring a small travel pillow it might help you be more comfortable. But mookie it really is not that painful!! and they give you drugs!! best wishes to you!

Hey Green I haven´t gone riding yet. And it is still there on main street. That´s pretty much what we do. we walk around, hang out, go to the beach.. The only thing is my kids are fussy eaters, So they have been eating lots of grilled cheeses and plain noodles!!! When we have our company we will eat out more and they will have a chance to experience the great food and hopefully I can too. I wish I had brought my scale. I am sure I am down ...oh well when my clothes fall off I´ll know for sure.

Thanks girls. I tried to have a pina colada last nite. No luck. I am expecting visitors from Canada on the weekend I will make sure they bring some protein shakes. Actually I am so tight everything that goes in, comes back out and somehow multiplies!!!! I am lucky if I can drink half a cup of coffee. The first few days I would try to eat and BPéd all day long now I concentrate on drinking first to make sure I do not dehydrate. I did manage to drink one margarita. Kept it in for half hour... I am hoping it will ease up a bit so I can eat some guacamole and salsa and rice and all the other stuff I dare not try right now. We are on the pacific coast, the beach here is so beautiful. and no winter!!!! I hope you all are doing good. I am just happy that I am losing weight, even if I can´t eat right now. And since we are carless here I walk ALOT. Some thing I have not done in a long time. Adios

OK you guys found me. I am in Mexico!!!! I got a fill on Dec 5th in TO and left for Mexcio a few days later. I have been having trouble getting on the internet at the wireless cafe, its like....dial up. Sorry Cloe! I kept getting bumped off, it was way too frustrating and never got on here again. All is well in my world!! All though I am too tight and have not been able to enjoy any of my favorite dishes. Very sad, Don´t you all feel sorry for me?? Don´t answer that!! I didn´t bring my scale but I am hoping that I have lost some weight. Well, I´ll try to keep in touch but hey the beach is calling me. Do you hear it ??

Going for my third fill on Tuesday. I am choosing to fly to Toronto to have it done. I don't think the sweaty doc has had quite enough practice for me yet. And since I've all ready invested so much money into this "tool" I should maintain it and not jeopordize it(by unskilled doc) I do slime often and have not been eating properly:phanvan . PB'ed too but I do not think I have enough restriction. Cause when I do eat foods that go down, I can eat lots:speechles . I have been hovering around the same weight which pisses me off LOTS.:angry :angry :angry So a tightening is due. I'll tell you you about it Wednesday. Cause it is a 3 day trip for me...

I went to Winnipeg yesterday for my 2nd fill. I was happy that I found someone who could do a fill a little bit closer to me. Still hours away but less a flight. My daughter came with me. So I went into the clinic with her. A yucky dirty clinic very sad.... I filled out a bunch of paper work. Paid $75.00 and sat down...for 1 and 1/2 hours later they call my name. By this time my 9 yr old is going batty! Go sit in little room with my daughter wait another 10 minutes the doc comes in and looks at my paper work. I ask him if he has filled many lap bands. "oh your here for your lap band just a minute I'll be right back" Leaves comes back 15 minutes later with a needle and saline "oh how much fill do I give you?" "i'll go call Toronto..." 15 minutes later comes back "ok ok .5cc to 1 cc" i say i want 1 cause i came from far he say ok. My port is very close to the surface you can almost see it. so he pushes it and prodes it with his fingers. Then take the needle and pokes me . This needle was so long I think it came out my back!!! I don't know what he hit but f#*&% it hurt. he moved the needle around inside me and then he said I think i got it. Then he removed all the liquid and said "oh it looks like you only have 4cc... uh oh ya well now you 'll have 5." I just wanted him to take that needle out of me. Then he said well it looks like you didn't have 6cc like you thought. " I said " I felt some Water on my belly maybe you spilled some" He said "that was my sweat" :phanvan If he hadn't tortured me enough he says wait "i'll get some polysporin so you don't get an infection" EEEEK As I am leaving he asks if I was weighed. um no. So he pulls out this scale, that is not balanced and he gets me on it with my shoes on. He's "oK looks like 197 is that ok?" "no thanks try again..." Ya ok thanks. Bye bye. Whaaaaaa do I go see him again cause it is more convenient? do I just spent the 5oo buck and got to TO??? I hope he didn't break my band. Any way I'll write it off as experience.

Yoda, I feel like a loser cause the only time I ever talked to the doc was for a short telephone consult and then 2 minutes before my surgery. Never seen or heard from him (either of them). I did find Nancy the fill tech nice and helpful and when I had called her to get my stuff fax the "sweater" she was great. So they don't do fluro at the clinic? How do you get one of those? You have to the doctor's pet?LOL

Congrats!! I liked Propel Water and Powerade. They helped keep my energy level up somewhat and. And when I was too hungry I just went to bed!!!! I had a hard time with the hunger the first week or so too. I feel for you.

I should cancel the satelite service. This way my children wouldn't be exposed to all those commercial and want everthing. Man, everything is so expensive. I told everyone this year since I will be away I will not be buying gifts and nopt to buy us any! For my kids birthdays I ask parents not to bring gift for my kids instead to make a donation to a charity. My kids get enough stuff for me and their dad everyday.

Mandi I've had avocado on a veggie sandwich. Tomato cukes and avocado. It is so buttery tasting it makes up for no butter or may.

I love guacamole. I mix it on my plate with refried bean and rice and salsa. Yum.
