mmmm just had more YOGURT!!!!!

I live in Northern Ontario, I will drive to Thunder Bay, ON Then take a flight to Toronto. I usually fly out of Winnipeg which is just a little father away from me, but there are more choices for flights. So I need to drive 3 hours then fly for 1.5 hours.

Neenagh, I burst out in laughter OMG that was soooo funny. I have to tell everyone that story. It is so hilarious!! I hope that you are doing well and that your husband is now treating you like the princess you are!!! That was not very nice of him to steal the spotlight like that! Just when you think all the pampering in the world is coming your way... he owes you big time!!!! Good luck collecting!! How are you feeling now?

Nine days till surgery. AAAAHH!! Day 2 of pre-op diet. mmm yogurt. I have a big headache today and I didn't even quit having coffee. It's probably cake withdrawal!!! I like the idea of the flowers on the wall to countdown the pounds. I think i'll do that for my total weight loss. Thanks for the idea girls!!! My husband has been very supportive, which I am quite surprised about. He probably thinks he'll get lucky more often when I'm skinny!!!

I started my pre-op diet today. Ate cottage cheese and yougurt all day. 7pm ate left over chinese food and an ice cream come. OK today was an extra day, but I do not know is I can just eat cottage chz and yougurt for 10 day :bored what a goofy diet. I've made up way better one than that!!

thanks Cloe Effexor is scary. Did you ever add it to food or drink? I guess I can just down the little beads. I don't want to see my GP cause I don't want to!!!!!! I sound like my 3 year old niece!!! I don't want my GP to know about my surgery. I live in a small town and I heard some peoples "secrets" that came from the hospital.Don't want to take that chance. Some people just don't understand. Happy belated birthday!

Green It is Effexor I am on. And I do not want to change or stop because I tried that before and the withdrawals of this drug are brutal.:hurt

Hi Green Did you have caffine withdrawal? I don't like that head ache. If I don't eat, don't drink coffee I'll have to get a new vice? Oh ya there is always shopping! You mentioned crushing your antidepressant. I wonder what one does with capsules. Do you open them up?

I went on GNC web site and found the ingrediant list and nutritional values of Isopure. I was so excited I cut and pasted on a message and then I posted it on the wrong thread so, I deleted it. Hello everyone Since I live in Northern Ontario, I have not been to the clinic and all the communication with the TLBC has been on the phone. This must seem wierd, but living in the middle of nowhere it is quite the norm. Again I was reading my brochure and my question is ... During the clear liquid stage can I have coffee? Maybe I should stop drinking it now .

I am starting my pre=op diet tomorrow so I have been eating out alot and not very good. I haven't weighed my self in 2 weeks so I am sure i've gained 10 lbs on my pre pre-op diet!! lol But I am sure that my weight will drop when I stop eating!! I still hope to drop 8lbs this month.

bibytz congrats! My surgery is less than 2 weeks away and I am getting nervous. I am glad to hear that your surgery was eventless! yeah!!

Congratulations on your surgery! My husband had beers when he picked me up from the hospital after I had our son. Picked me up, drunk, with our brand new baby!!! OK he wasn't drunk, but he drank and ya I am still bitter!! Our son is 7

Thank you everyone for your good wishes. I hope I recover quickly. I had a breast lift March 05 and I went out for dinner the same nite! I didn't take any days off after my lap band surgery. (Office/retail setting ).so I am crossing my fingers that I'll be good to go! 4 days till I start the pre-op diet eeeek!!!

Question: Who did you tell you were having the surgery? I told no one except my hb, my sisters ( I have 2) , and my daughter. None of my co-workers know, nor do I feel that they should. The time I had off to recover, I told my co-workers that I was sick with my asthma. I live in a small town and everybody knows each other, so word could spread fast The only people that know about my surgery is my husband, I sort of asked him for permission to spend the $16000!! My sister, I need her to come to Toronto with me(it was cheaper than an over night in the clinic). And a childhood friend who has pyshic abilities and always seems to know when things are different for me (like she called me days after my husband confessed of an affair, saying she had a dream something bad had happened to me!! wierd) She lives in northern alberta and I live in Northern Ontario. She called the day I made the appointment for the consult. I can't hide anything from her. Other than that I will not tell my mom(she wouldn't understand why) or any one else. I live in a small town too and nobody needs to know!!!

I decided to get banded because i wanted to stop dieting. I am 39 and I've been dieting since I was about 10 or 11. My whole life has been about watching what I eat. Every Monday was the begining of a new diet. I own every diet book ever published. every dieting and exercise magazine, I even work at a weight loss center! I want this band to force me to stop eating, to help me so I do not need to "diet" I want this to be the begining of the end!

Hello Mandi Thanks for the info. The woman in dauphin Did she get a new band ? I wonder who is doing her fills now? Are you in touch w/ her? I probably would not want to see the doc that made a boo boo. I have booked flight to Toronto for Nov , since TLBC books the first fill 6 weeks after surgery. I am going be spend a great deal of time in Mexico this winter:biggrin1: so I guess I do the reverse of every one else and get my fills there!!!!! Thanks mandi and all the others for all you help and info!!! 5 days till I begin my pre-op diet! Oh my gawd I think I 'm going to puke I just realized my surgery is 15 days away :couch2:

Hi susan4794 People say to me "your so strong" "how do you do it" . But I am just a coward. Not able to get away from this man that betrayed me and disrespected me in the worse possible way. I have this huge hatred in me towards him. Not always but when he talks to me disrespectfully when I know he should be kissing my A$$ for the rest of our lives. Sometimes he makes me so upset I wish I was able to physically hurt him. Susan you are strong. I wish I had had the courage to just kick him to the curb.

I need a fill doc anywhere from Thunder Bay to Western Manitoba. Do you know of any in this "gap"? otherwise I will end up having to fly to Toronto to get a fill! I don't want my family doc to do my fills cause I live in a small gossipy (redundant) town and I don't even trust the doctors to keep my secrets here! So I rather go out of town where no one knows me.

I will be banded September 22, 2006 in Toronto, ON Skinny here I come!!
