So, anyone ever hear of Meetup.com?? Maybe we can start a group meeting there for all the people in the chicagoland area dealing with the issues of weight loss surgery, and maybe even a lap-band specific group. If anyone is interested, send me a message. Ill get the group started. I would love to meet other people in the area dealing with the same issues! That way, even people who cant check the sight often, can be automatically emailed with meetup info. Sound good??

I just had my first fill today. I am wondering if this is a normal occurence... Not only did he not use any flouro at all (which sounds like its normal) He didn't numb me up at all. It aggravates me because while i was waiting for him to come into the room, all the stuff he might use was sitting on the counter and there was a bottle of lidocane there so I thought for sure he was gonna numb that area, but no. He just stuck that needle right in there. It flippin hurt. Is that normal?? Does any one else's doc do that??

So, my surgery is tomorrow!! :clap2: while i have been waiting forever to get it, the day is here and i am freaking out!!!! How did everyone deal with the jitters of waiting, and, the jitters of all the pre-op prep stuff. Any good tricks??

well, im knew here, and have only posted once. But i gotta say. Ive got a lot of comfort from this site. Im going crazy right now cuz my band date is tomorrow!!!! EEEK!! Im so nervous!! Somebody calm me down! No, im ok. how did everyone deal with the stress the day before. i tell you, my house has never been cleaner. what did everyone else do??

hello kaybug. It seems we live really close to eachother! I also live in H.P on county farm and army trail rds. Im getting banded in just 2 short days and im majorly freaking out. Maybe when all is healed and said and done, we could workout together or something. Maybe do some jogging or whatever you like. do you belong to any of the local gyms??
