    My late night adventure....

    I vote tonight's exercise is a nice swim in a hot tub with mebbe some oatmeal for your itching. Oatmeal Bath for Itch Relief Crumble 1 cup of uncooked oatmeal into a bath of lukewarm Water as the bath is filling. Soak 15-20 minutes and gently pat the burned area dry so that a thin coating of the oatmeal remains on your skin. (Be careful getting in and out of the tub, the oatmeal will make the bathtub very slippery.) This remedy is good for the itching that comes from a healing burn or sunburn.

    I have broken out some really nice totally un-worn clothes from my closet and began sorting them into things I hope to fit into someday, and stuff I fit into now...figuring as I lose weight, store the fat guy stuff and bring out the new skinny me stuff. My wife convinced me to try it on, and I found a lot of stuff to wear now...so the weight loss (47lbs) is a real difference even if I don't see it personally. I was so happy I wanted to go for a jog and have a small serving of asparagus. Congratulations!!! I am so happy to hear about your NSV and look forward to many more...now you lost that weight, go party like you deserve to.

    OK...from the list... Here's what I see as my current issues: 1. You feel like you are making healthy food choices in appropriate portion sizes but getting hungry between meals? 2. You can still eat white bread, fibrous vegetables and large portions. 3. You are having to struggle to lose Combine these sensations with steroids for RA and I gained back some of the weight I had lost. I cut back on all grazing, and unscheduled unweighed eating. I focused on protein first, veg second and carbs last if at all. I lost 11lbs, but I still can eat chicken and broccoli and other heavy veg that most get stuck with. I can also eat large portions of chicken which really made me realize there was no restriction. I'm going to print this out and keep it with me when I eat to consider what's going on as I eat.

    Brothers treat me like crap...

    I would highly recommend taking the mature role in this situation. If they make another comment like this, ask them to step into another room so you can be alone. Put your hands on his shoulders and look him directly in the eyes so he can see how serious you are about the subject. Then, knee him in the crotch as hard as you can. Like most men, he will fall to the ground in a heap and begin to pray for his own death to end the pain. While he is in what I call the "Attentive Position", tell him very clearly, that his un-kind words hurt you just as much as he hurts now and that he should never again speak to you in this manner. This will create a lasting memory for him, negative re-inforcement matched with a message. Or, ignore him and his need to feel superior to you for whatever reasons he has and keep in mind your weight is your business and you are working on doing something for yourself. Let him realize later that his need to feel superior is his issue for him to deal with.

    What do you drive?

    My ride looks much nicer then this one and doesn't have steps, but it's mine and I wouldn't trade it for nothin...cept mebbe a new Chevy Avalanche or a new Harley. Road Queen...i'm super jealous. A Harley is on my list of weight loss goal rewards. 150lbs from now I will be riding some sad wanna be Harley like a Honda Shadow and dreaming of the day I buy my Road King or a Heritage Softail Classic.

    Gone for Good Club - August 2006

    Photonut, I haven't seen it, is it a sticky someplace? Funny, you made plenty of sense, I just don't want to make anyone feel uncomfortable. For example one of the ladies here posted some pictures of herself (before and after) which were mildly edited. I wanted to comment about how great she looked, and how thankful I was to see what basically would happen to this inflated body if I let some of the air out of it. I had not seen an apron, or anything even close to it and it was actually mind boggling to finally see what it would look like...even more so with pre and post TT pics. I was just afraid the comments would be taken the wrong way..especially since I have a habit of being somewhat dirty minded and blessed with a demented sense of humor.

    Gone for Good Club - August 2006

    I know it sounds crazy, but I am 9 months in and have never foamed, slimed or PBd. I shouldn't say never, I took a bite of pizza crust while working, and the phone rang so I gave it the old 3 chew and hard swallow. It got stuck. I didn't foam...or slime, but I felt like there was a golf ball stuck in my chest which wouldn't move. Someone online said drinking warm water helps, and like a moron I tried it. Water makes bread swell. That didn't clear for almost 24hrs. The closest I ever came to sliming was with scrambled eggs with ham. Again, another chewing issue. I was spitting slimey spit out for the next ten minutes...but I have eaten scrambled eggs since then, and ham, and scrambled eggs and ham. I have no problems eating ANY food. So like I said, crazy, but it would be nice to be full with 1/2 cup of food. OK for the record, is it wrong for the guys here to cheer on the ladies who are posting pictures. I must say from my own opinion, I look forward to seeing the new tattoo pictures. I'm holding out for my 100lb weight loss to get a nice big tattoo on my back between my shoulders. Its just a symbol between my wife and I, but it means a lot to both of us.

    What do you do for pain?

    I cry...I just curl up in a little ball, stick my thumb in my mouth and cry. I have RA and Gout, so there is a lot of days with a lot of pain. I've learned that a little quiet time in a dark room goes a long way. For headaches, I don't think that will work. I used to chew aspergum with success when I worked stressful jobs and would get serious screaming blinding headaches (I was an audio engineer and having a headache with headphones on sucks).

    I favored the Carnation Instant Breakfast drinks...that went down nice, had a nice flavor and seem to make me feel a little full.

    I was banded on 12/6/06 and I have since had 4 fills. I am at 8.5cc in the VG band which I was informed today holds 10cc, but can be overfilled...not what I wanted to hear. I am hoping this fill yields alot of restriction and foaming and sliming and PBing and anything else that lets me know it's working.

    I'm not going to be able to do weekly weightins currently, being my size there aren't many scales available for usage. Appearently only those truck scales on the side of the highway, industrial laundry and me need scales that large. I was weighed in today tho. I am currently 456 down from 503. If there is a better format for this please be gentle when you spank me to correct me...and I prefer Telly does the spanking since she has that look in her eye. Just don't tell my wife...LOL

    SMMC chicas accountability log

    I'm not a "TRUE" SMMC Chica...i'm more of an interloping Chico, so I don't know about the doctor's office stuff, but my dietician, doctor and sundry other office types love that i'm posting, logging, discussing and torturing them with endless questions. Appearently they feel that A. I'm getting a ton of feedback from my own information and B. they can get a clear picture of any issues, mistakes etc by reviewing this info. I would say if your docs are against it, give em a good smack in the back of the head. Today's Events (thats right...events people, not food) 8:45am: Doctor's office for another fill. Found out I have the VG and I am 8.5cc filled...still no restriction, hopefully this last .5 does the trick. I also found out that I lost 11lbs. So I would like the thank the Chicas...as clearly posting here and reading what you ladies are doing is helping me out A LOT!. 12:30pm: 3 bottles of water in and 2 jello-o puddings (60 cal sugar free chocolate puddings...yum). No problems eating...but i'm not pushing my luck. I will hold off on non-liquids until Saturday. 7:30pm: I've had 7 bottles of water, and for dinner I had some campbells soup (broccoli cheese). 9:00pm: I had some Jello-o sugar free pudding.
  19. This is a bit gross, but I would also recommend flushable baby wipes...I had some...issues with....discomfort before and after the surgery. Nothing solid in, nothing solid out. I'm assuming since there were no solids, the stomach acids were being expelled. The wipes were a complete and total life saver.

    Newbie with a major question

    Would sign up again tomorrow, and I am 8 months out and only lost 36 lbs (still haven't gotten restriction correct). I know there is more positive results coming, and I know the difference I already see in my habits and patterns.
  21. Thanksgiving was my last solid meal before surgery, I went through the two weeks with no problems. I recommend sugar free Jello and pudding...and just keep in mind that this is getting you where you want to be. I also favored the Carnation Instant Breakfast shakes over the powder shakes. Good luck!

    1 Day Challenge

    Tomorrow is weigh in and fill day. I will eat my pre-measured delicious meals I will drink my hundred million gallons of Water I will not involve myself in the crazy drama here I will walk more and park further away from the front door to my job (did this second part already)
