I was banded august 12th and have gotton an infection from the hosptail and have know seen a lung dr.. .which they dont tell you before surgery.. they doctor pushed up my surgery for the money and know i am suffering for .. this has been the worse experinece ever..

one more thing ... look for if you overeat i usually get a pain under my breast bone on the left side and thats when i know i am done.. this is the hardest thing ever i did and you really get no support after words from the doctors office... we have been fighting with them .. i had gotton sick and found outhtere was no covering dr and they were telling me i am not sick and dont go to the er .. just go to your primary care docotor because know your there problem was i told ... they dont tell anyof this in the beginning ... and my office has no post op meetings...

Hi, I am sorry to hear your having so many problems with the band and I agree with you.. These surgerons dont care after they get your money ! Infact my surgery was pushed up because of it and my surgeron skip some of my pre op testing .. and know i have a really horrible infection from the surgery.. . and i have been on so many meds i lost count and i have seen a lung dr know for a nebulizar treatments and i have to go for sleep study.. and i have to take a month leave of work.. and i am only losing like pounds every other week because i am so sick i cant even breath to go walking ... if i know what i new then i would never have done this to myself.. people i would advise go back to WIEGHT WATCHERS OR JENNY CRAIG! if i could i would have this removed but i wont go back to that hosptail ... and im trying to find a new surgeron if anyone knows of one that will take me . I live in patchogue NY ... i tried to call another dr but they wont take me because i already had surgery.. this is the most frustrating and upsetting thing i have ever done and it dosent cure anything ... its just a chop shop for fat people!

p.s. i have been on meds for 21 day and there is nothing left the dr. can give me .. make sure your surgeron does all the pre op testing your you get introuble... make sure you see a lung dr... before you have surgery... please people just really look into before you do it .. its major surgery and iwould recommend you take at least 6 to 8 weeks off of work there is no way you can go to work with in four days .... of surgery.... and dont lift anything ... and just rest.... so frustrating

Everyone should watch out for getting a infection from the hosptial not being sterile with the tubes that go down your thoart.. And then pray that you surgeon as a covering dr... and dont listen to anyone but your self.. if you have to go the er because you dont feel right JUST GO! Or you will end up like me on cough meds, nebluaizer, going to a lung dr because your surgeon bump up or surgery for insurance purpose and dont really care.. watch out for a rash on your belli from the steri strips... and a chronic cough cause by bronchitis then they tell you that they cant help because know your primary care doctor is in charge of you... and you end up have to take a leave of abences from you job to get well after you were just out a month for the surgery... if i had my choice i wouldnt have it done ... just go to wieght watchers! the only good thing is i lost 28 pounds in a month... people remember to ask question and deffend your self! because this has been the worst experinece of my life! :thumbup::yikes:
