I am getting my sleeve on Oct. 22. I am on my clear liquid diet and its kicken my butt. I am using Dr. Rumbaut, does anyone know anything good or bad? I haven't seen anyone say anything on here about him. Thanks, Tonya B SC

Thanks so much for your reply, I guess we all would like to know what the future holds, but can't. I plan to be painfully honest with my surgen in Mexico and see what he advises. One way, or another I am going to lose weight and start living life again! Love, Tonya B:tongue:

Ok, here it goes, I need advice. I have researched all wls and choosen the band. However, after hearing of all the things that can go wrong, I am beginning to doubt my choice. I do NOT want the gastric bypass, but I would concider the sleeve. Here is my huge problem, I am self pay and could NOT afford to get it fixed if something did go wrong. I am going to Mexico to have the surgery and feel great about the Dr. and Hospital, but there is NO WAY I could ever get the money to go back, and I have been told that drs here wouldn't treat me. I do have a fill dr in the states. I am sorry this is so long, but I really need someone to give me some good advice. Thanks to all who send prayers and advice! Feeling bad about my pre-op diet

Hello everyone, I am scheduled to be banded on Oct. 22 by Dr. Rumbaut in Mexico. I haven't started my liquid diet yet, but I have tasted my protein shakes and lets just say, I must have bought the worse tasting one out there! I think chicken broth will have to work for me! I would LOVE to keep in touch with a few of you, I think we all need encouragment and advice as we take this life changing step. Tonya B SC:thumbup:

Hi, Tonya! If you check out the beginning of my blog, there are photos of the hospital and a full description of how the surgery went (from my perspective). It might make your family feel better if they see and read that! Mine was worried too, but when I told them how well-respected my doctor was, and how much experience he had, they were able to relax!
