    I got stuck...first time

I love them just steamed! But I guess that's a thing of the past. I did cut it up but didn't chew it enough. Thanks for the suggestion...I'll try it when I'm past my fear of them again...lol:w00t:

    Alcohol

Wow! Band Groupie your ticker is amazing and you drink beer. I really thought I'd never have beer again and on a hot summer day there's nothing like a Coor's light!!! Thanks for showing me that it can be done!!! Not that I'll drink that much. But just knowing that I can drink it (occasionally) and not be fat is amazing!!!

    Maybe fat people are cooler

You did the right thing! I'm so sorry you had to go through that. Maybe she really wasn't a TRUE friend to begin with and just not worth it! Hugs your way...

    Alcohol

I drink red wine. It is empty calories though, so be careful. I was able to drink as soon as I went back to solid food but didn't until about 4 weeks out. I know this summer I will miss having a beer every once in a while, but I don't want to stretch my pouch either. So no way, Jose!!! Won't touch soda ever again either. No bubbles!!!

    Bandsters without restriction....

I am in the same boat! I got my second fill yesterday and have NO restriction. I ate an entire can of chili for lunch! This is nuts! I really appreciate hearing about your restriction (Melspage). It helps a lot. We, who have no restriction, need to keep on hearin' this! I can't wait until I can only eat 1/2 the can of chili as the serving suggests. And I know I'll be hungry before dinner. How can this be? I just had an entire 2ccs added to my band yesterday. And I've felt nothing, nada, zip!!!

    Post Surgery Depression

I suffer from depression and anxiety. I see a psychatrist for my meds. Since he added Abilify to my meds I have seen a drastic change to my mood...for the better! My anxiety is not any better though. I take Xanax when needed for this. Having Lap Band surgery is anticlimatic. You were working towards a goal and that goal is now accomplished. Often people suffering from depression get depressed when their goals are accomplished. Maybe this explains it for you. I would talk to your doctor and maybe see a psychatrist. Best wishes and hugs to you....

    Fill #3 Today!!!

Best Wishes!!!! We're thinking of you!!!
  16. Many of us gain weight inbetween the time period of being banded and getting our fills. This is common. Please don't be too hard on yourself. Perhaps you need to log your meals and count your calories. Perhaps your not eating enough. Perhaps what you are eating is high in calories. It really helps to write down everything you eat and count calories, fat, carbs and protein. I put everything into thedailyplate.com. It does a lot of the work for you. Best wishes and hugs to you...

    not losing weight?

Due to complications, I started with an empty band. I just had my second fill yesterday and am not sure if that did anything. My point is that I haven't lost much since surgery but I know that is the way of the band. Until you get to your "sweet spot", after several fills your weight loss may slow or stall all together. I am just happy I haven't gained any weight. Being on this forum has really helped educate me to this fact. Take care and hang in there! It will happen for you soon enough!!!

    December Delights 2009

I, too, had my second fill yesterday. I'm now at 5ccs in a 10 band. Don't feel much from it and am on mushies today. Will keep you all posted!!! I think I'll have Cream of Wheat for breakfast....

    Superbowl Sunday Food

I'm with those who treat food as it was meant to be treated. Bravo!!! I agree that we should not deprive ourselves of the things we love, or you have less chance for sucess. I also am a classic for portion control. That is totally my problem. I do make good food choices, just too much of it!!!
