About Me

  • Gender
    Female
My story is the same as hundreds of thousands of fat folks worldwide.  I suffered a lifetime of being overweight, rollercoaster dieting and finally decided on surgery after my final failed diet attempt. I realize this will continue to be a life stuggle even with surgery but hope with it's assistance and the lifestyle changes I have made in the year leading up to surgery, that I will be successfull.by the way... I was in the hospital 5 HOURS not 5 days.. the system keeps defaulting it.
I am now 2 years post op. I work out 5 hours a week at a min. and usually 7-8 hours per week. I feel better than I think I did young. I am now a certified scuba diver with several foreign dives under my belt. I have rappeled, zip lined and done things I never thought I could or would again. The only downfall. I think I'm a less healthy eater than I used to be. I eat a lot less, granted, but I PB a LOT and have been told my band is not crooked etc.  but sometimes milk is hard to keep down. BUT, I manage to get my protien in, I suppliment some other things and cont. to make every effort to eat healthy with foods I can eat (split pea soup, hummus etc). fiber and protien.
