Just a test to see if I loaded my weight tracker correctly. I was guessing how to do it.

My date is Oct 7th as well. I have the same pre-op diet of 3 protein shakes a day plus one meal of veggies and low fat meat, 1 dairy and 1 fruit. It will be interesting to see how much I lose on that. I'll be in Florida for one of the weeks swimming a lot so that will help! Good luck to you all!

Tired of People Saying: "You Really Don't Look Lika You Need That!!"
Leetie replied to ncarreras's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 226 and 5'3" with BMI at just 40. My insurance will cover the surgery if your BMI is at least 40 or 35 and 2 co morbid conditions like high blood pressure and sleep apnea. I have only told close family and a few friends and they have all been pretty supportive but a couple have asked if I really need to go this route. I'm 56 years old and I've been on diets and lost and regained so many times. What do they say? Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results? That's where I am now so I'm doing something different this time. I know I can lose weight, I just can't keep it off for long. This is a tool to help me do that. In a few months, they'll be saying how smart you were to do this! -
Where do you go to get those weight loss ticker thingies?

My surgery is Oct 7th and I have to do 2 weeks of either 5 protein drinks a day or 3 protein drinks and one meal of low fat meat like chicken, 1 dairy, veggies etc. Not too bad. At least I have a choice. Bummer is I'll be in Florida on vacation for one of those weeks but I didn't want to put it off.

October 2009 Surgery Date?
Leetie replied to Daria77's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I just got my surgery date - October 7th. Bummer is I'll be spending 9/26 through 10/3 in Florida so will be on the pre-op diet for the whole vacation! Luckily I've been to Disney alot as we have a vaction home close by there. I didn't want to put it off longer just so I could eat at the California Grill or Le Cellier (tempted though!). My diet is either 5 protein drinks a day or 3 protein drinks and 1 meal of lean meat, 1 dairy, veggies etc. so it sounds like I have more options than some but some seem to not have much pre-op diet at all. Strange how it varies. It's been just over a year to get to this point but I think it was good because I've been through getting my mind up for it and ok with the life changes this will mean. Good luck to everyone!
