I had been interested in doing the lap band surgery for quite some time.  I applied through my work insurance at the end of 2008, and was denied after going through most of the necessary tests.  I was told I would need to go to both a nutritionist and a Dr. once a month for six months and then reapply.  I was just recently approved and will have surgery on 9/17/09.  Two other girls from my work are doing it too which will really help us all.  One is the same day as my surgery and one is just one week later.  I have an 18 month old grandaughter who I want to be able to keep up with and not be out of breath and also wear cute clothes and walk with out back and ankles and feet killing me.  I am anxious to get started on this adventure.
