I have attended a seminar and made the decision that I want and despareately need the surgery. I had my initial consultation and the surgeon that I seen requires all monies to be paid up front. I have been through two insurance plans that denied me due to exclusions for obesity surgery. I then decided to cash out my 401K for the costs and was denied the cash out due to it being prepaid. I was told that if I had already had the procedure that they would give me the money. I informed the doctors office and they basically said tough luck, it has to be prepaid. So that is where I am at. I don't know whether to attempt to find another surgeon that offers something different or what. I feel that each day that I waste trying to find answers is a day of living that is wasted. After three months of battling with my 401K....I was finally given my money. I have used my savings and put with my retirement money to pay for the surgery.12-12-09 My surgery has been postponed due to a recurrent sinus infection and the flu. I am disappointed but I feel terrible and can not imagine having surgery the way that I feel right now. I know that a few more days will definitely be worth the wait.
