Hello!Well, I have been living with being overwieght now for close to 10 years.  I have tried everything to lose weight and just got tired of being beaten up by my weight.  I have been actively seeking lapband as an option for almost a year.  Since I have friends and co-workers that have had the band, I have a lot of good models to learn from.  I am currently pre-op and  I have had all other pre-op screening test which included barium swallow, x-rays, GERD screening (which I have) and a ton of  other tests.  I also had  a 6 month supervised requirement for insurance.  I am close to surgery and my  first appointment with Dr. is on Oct 5, 2009  for my pre-op workup.  Surgery date is scheduled for October 29, 2009.  The wait is driving me nuts so I would love to hear more from all!!!
