Sleeve Date, March 19, Please describe the Pain
LittleLadySky replied to Brenda0600's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
The pain is minimal is more soreness than anything, I had my surgery done this past Monday and by Saturday I was walking with my family in the mall. The second day is the most uncorfortable, but walking and sips will do the trick! many blessings to you!! -
I am glad to hear about the return policy from GNC, because I bought the Isopure and honestly I can't stand it. I am using the carnation instant breakfast no sugar added (my doctor recommend it) so I usually do one as a hot chocolate in the morning and 1 around 4pm and I like them

Thanks ladies for your replies; thanks so much for your replies he told me to do the same..high protein/low carbs, I guess I needed some sugestions as I dont want to do something I am not suppose to. Tiffy as you I dont have any other co-morbidities and my bmi is 43. I had been doing special K cereal, salads, fish and fruits and drinking water. I am going to take a look at those books that you had both mentioned. Once again thank you... -

for those that have Oxford/ UHC I had found this information...hope this help many of us having issues with Insurance: As of October 1, 2009 United Healthcare along with Oxford insurance companies cover the Sleeve Gastrectomy procedure. According to their policy "the gastric sleeve procedure (also known as laparoscopic vertical gastrectomy or laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy) when done alone and not a part of the full operation to complete a biliopancreatic diversion with duodenal switch (BPDDS or DS) is proven in adults for the treatment of clinically severe obesity as defined by the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI)."
