Hello.... My name is Jennifer and I am 30 years old.  I researched a lot before deciding to go through with surgery and decided it was best for me. I origanally wanted to have the bypass, but five months ago was diagnosed with ulcerative colitos.  At first i was told thati could not have the bypass but recently was told by my digestive disease dr that i could. My surgeon feels that i should try the band first and in six months from now im not having good results we can reevaluate and then maybe go through with the bypass. Im scheduled for surgery september 22, 2009. I start my liquid diet the 15th of september.
