  1. In Sept I will be 4 years out from having my surgery. I went to see my dr yesterday and I am almost back to my starting weight. I was so disappointed in myself. I had to have my port replaced a few months ago and before that it was fill after fill with no restriction. I have had issues with the band and staying on track espeically when i wasnt feeling any restriction. I am just posting this forum for helpful ideas on getting back on track and motivational help. . I can't believe I am back to where I started! I had a fill yesterday and hopefully will feel some restriction after my 3 day liquid diet. I know what I need to do but there are times when I get so down on myself and lean towards bad habits! I never imagined being back to feeling tired all the time, clothes being too tight etc I have one of the best doctors who has never given up on me, i feel like I have let him and everyone else down! Anyone else in the same boat?

    Port Replacement

Thank you all for your comments. I apologize on my delay in responding. I toughed it out and finally things got better. I was too embarrassed to call and ask for meds...afraid to look like a pill popper LOL I went in today for my first fill since port replacement. I am on Clear liquids for three days. I hope this works!! Thanks again everyone!!
  4. Back home......everything went good, although it hurt and I thought I was gona come up off the table a few times! .im very very very sore......Hope this numbing will last a while! Port tubing had a big hole in it. So he replaced the port and I got back in 2 weeks for a fill. Can't wait!!!!!!

    Port Replacement

I had a port replacement done on Friday 4/26/2013. Starting that evening I started having alot of pain. I know that I would be sore due to all the manipulation the Dr had to do. He replaced my port with a low profile port? It is smaller than my original port. I ended up having a hole in the port tubing. It is Sunday now and I am still having pain and discomfort. It feels like something is ripping when I bend over or move alot. Standing up and sitting down hurts and trying to sleep is miserable!!!! My Dr. did not give me any pain medication and I did not even think to ask for it. The way they talked it was going to be very simple with some soreness. Has anyone else had this experience? If so, what did your doctor say/do?
