Melody, Yes I have IH and on meds for the last almost 2 years. After Lumbar punctures and the possiblity of a shunt I decided to go with meds to control it. I have went from 1500 mlgrams of diomox to just 250 -500 mlgrams. It's still there, however, my decission to have the surgery was because of the reccomendation from my doctors. I made the right choice for me. You should discuss it with your doctors and research all aspects of the surgery and IH. How long have you had it? I must say its the best decission I ever made for myself and my heath. P.S. Hoping to come off meds completly withing the next 6 months. We will see.

Hello Kiddos!!! Well it's been some time since I've been here. I guess life just got in the way. Congrats Minin, and by the way all, I am only 7 lbs away from goal! From 257 to 162 and looking pretty good I think. I only wish all my body parts stayed where they were suppose to!!! I'll post a pic soon. I do hope all is well.

I do hope all you kiddos are doing well and I see there are so many new names here but I do see many I know.</p> <p> Just wanted to let everyone know I'm doing great. I have had two fills total, and the band is truely my friend!! If you guys can remember me, I started at a whopping 257 lbs and now....drum roll please!!! I'm 180, from a size 20 womens to a 10-12 regular clothes. I feel great and couldnt have made a better choice for me. </p> <p> I'll be on again, I found my way back. It's good to be here.</p></p></p>

Sorry you guys, I didnt die!!!!!! But I have been out of pocket for a while. Mim, I didnt lose a damn thing for the last two weeks so if you could post for me that would be great. Been job hunting! Congrats to all that have been doing so well.

Loss of 1 lb this week, gotta get that damn fill. Too slow for me! Mim As for the twins? Sure am gonna have it done as soon as goal has been reached. However If I could save a bit of moola, I'd do it now.

No explaination here kiddo, I do know that as much as I weigh, I have realized my scales are 5 lbs heavy, (there is a method to my madness, so when visitors come over and come out of my bathroom and complain and gripe that my scales are wrong or broken, I just explain that I have had them professionally adjusted to be perfect. That way when they leave they are complaining about being fat and I'm feeling pretty good cause they say how much weight I've lost! LOL HAHAHA!!

talking about weighing in everyday, I weigh in so often that I know what I weigh naked, with clothes on, how much a pair of jeans makes my weight go up and that a wet towel on my head just getting out ot the shower increases my weight 2.5 lbs. I know I'm sick, I'm obsessed!, And Now when I think I'm getting it together.... I start talking to the damn thing as though its going to feel sorry for me and show me weighing less next time I jump on! Its nice to go out of town often I leave it at home! Maybe I still have a bit of control! LOL
