wantolose, I too only have to do the liquid thing for 1 day prior to surgery, and I too are doing the "lasts" thing. Tomorrow I start the no carb, high protien eating habit. I'm doing it because I really need to, not because I am told to. For quite some time now I have not been allowed to have salt, soda's, or even my beloved coffee. (but I am having a small cup right now) due to other demons in my life that has led me down this path. but no matter, I'm Still So EXCITED!!!!!!!! I even had a dream last night that I was at the hospital and ready for surgery. LOL Kinda like you dream about your kiddos when you are pregnant before you actually give birth. Most of us I'm sure have had some sort of religous influnce in our lives. Mine is as follows: My mom is a non denominational church, My grandparants were Pentecostal My great grandmother was a God fearing Baptist Which I was raised that way. My late husband was a catholic his mother and family were Johova Witness, My current husband is a Presbyterian, one of my sons doesnt really beleive in anything So with all of that education I believe that what ever we choose to believe or not believe in is our own business, we find our own path. Have 4 adopted boys, made it seem like a football team lived at my house. Have two stepchildren. one boy one girl Became a paramedic so I would know what to do if any of the kiddos got hurt. Ask Neil Young if he would sign my inner thigh, he wanted to meet me after the show, for wine and cheese. He did both. He did supply the background music to my life. Married 3 times finally found one that stuck. 3 grandbabies, that call me Honey. Went to the greatest concert ever! (Doobie Brothers) Sang in a band Every man I ever dated ask me to marry him. am a published Poet My dog of 15 years was in a Drug Abuse Awareness Video Danced on the side of the Highway with my husband, just because, Danced in the rain Danced naked in the rain. Devote my free time for the last nine years to raising Scholarship money for Students in need. Best job I ever had was raising kids.

We do share more that we realize in common. I as a child was not allowed to eat anything in the pantry that belonged to my Step Father. No coke, no Cookies, no nothing that was on the second shelf. Of course as a child in the 4th grade I would sneak it. You have no ideal how many times I was in trouble. To think that I could sneak the food and no one would be able to tell was a childs mind trying to satisfy an adult hunger. I understand, as all of us surely do, that food was the constant in our life, our security, our freind when there seemed to be none. I'm sure there are many that have hidden to eat as children and as adults (like me) and try to justify the reasons in our own mind. Skeltons in my closet are too many to mention when it comes to food and the feeling of comfort that goes hand and hand. For 5 years I have been considering WLS and feeling that is was a sign of a weak soul, until I was diaganosed with health problems due to years and years of abuse to my body by that old friend (food). After a 20 year marriage and the demise of that life long relationship from a man that believed that "I did'nt love him enough to lose weight", I knew that no matter how many attempts I had made or will make to lose it on my own, including to many weight programs to mention, a abusive drug addiction, over and under the counter diet pills, consultation with nutruitionists, and tharapists, that decission had to be mine and a bit of help would be welcomed. Cooking and enjoying the food I cooked would become my tharapy and I would laugh about it, and joke about it outloud. My new husband, bless his heart loves me for who I am no conditions, and that has given me the strength to do what is necessary for me, my choice, my decission no matter how personal it is. I will never have to hear that she has a pretty face or her personality is what makes her again. I am what makes me and I am pretty inside and out! My family was in New Orleans, couldnt find them for almost 2 weeks. They pulled up their pity pants and went back home though, rebuilt, doing well some are near Baton Rouge, and all over the coastal area of Texas. It's a way of life you learn to live with it, It's the way it is. You love it or leave it.

Surgery In Mexico with Dr. Rumbaut on September 14, Gonnabethin and I are scheduled on the same date! Wanted to share something with all.
